I laugh a lot when reading posts here. Sometimes with people, sometimes at people, often at myself or for no obvious reason and ranging from internal giggling to laughing out loud. Whether looking at the silly pictures in the 'dance' thread or having a heated argument about politics.
Anyway I just thought I'd share, since I think my chronic angst and sometime overly serious demeanor creates an erroneous appearance of my personality. I'm a passionate person with a strong sense of moral responsibility, but I really don't take myself as seriously as it might appear.
I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, necessarily, but it is what it is.

:) I think you come off quite well in posts here, but the joy of the internet is that something said in jest can easily be taken as offensive without the cues of body language.
*hopes this isn't in response to her post in the chat thread, cause I was just messin around with ya :)*

No, no. Not at all. It's just a general comment. :)

I have to keep myself from smirking too obviously when I'm in the office. I don't often post lol or laughing smilies, but that don't mean I'm not having a good time...

Oh, good, it's not just me. The "what the" thread had me giggling helplessly to myself yesterday. And the occasional zing or rejoinder between participants on threads slays me, too.

... Started to type some stuff about the supposed lack of emotional colour on the net, but I realise it's a new topic. Stay tuned...

Hmmm. I wish to report the strange disappearance of my sense of humor. I don't seem to find much to laugh about. Well, except for the livius-Hitler poll thread, that one had me chuckling pretty good.

He doesn't have that serious of a demeanor in person. I swear to dog. ;)
It's true though! I mean, yeah, you've got a chronic angst thing going on, but who doesn't? You're also a fun-loving, passionate and risk-taking individual (i.e. making Thanksgiving dinner with someone you hardly know :P ) type human being. Also, if I recall correctly, you walked the Dana Point boardwalk with unidentified persons while it was colonized by Killer Bees!
And also, I know you take yourself seriously. In a super GOOD way, that is.

I've just been looking at the Dance thread for the first time, while listening to some old Jazz stuff (Brubeck, Coltrane, etc - a great soundtrack for such dancing) - and was laughing so hard that Zoe stopped watching her movie to see what I was laughing about.
What a beautiful thread! Thanks for the giggles for me'n'Zo.
