That's just gorgeous, especially the priory. I have a weakness for ruins on wind-swept plains/hills. What was in the picnic basket? I have a weakness for picnics too. :wriggle:

A cracking good day was had by all. We did the Priory and Rievaulx, and then we went and had a couple of hours looking round Helmsley, which is a very quaint traditional market town popular with tourists. We then went on to Nunnington Hall:

The picnic basket had a variety of cold sandwiches, crisps, chocolates, coke and coffee, and very nice it was too.
