Move the farmer and his wife to catch the rooster and the hen. You have to move both the people, and then the chickens move automatically. On each move you can move up, down, left or right one square. No diagonal moves.

Once the farmer or his wife have caught a chicken, they can't help their spouse to catch the other one - you try cornering chickens when you're holding a squawking, struggling bird!

Don't worry about the radio buttons at the bottom, there is no need to change those for normal play.

It's pretty easy once you cotton on to the correct strategy, but frustrating until then.

I just caught them both in 17 moves.

51 first try. I blame the fact that I didn't find out diagonal moves were illegal until I re-read the instructions after about 25 moves. I kept trying to catch a chicken that way.

hmmm 48 second .. I suck at this :) weird cos I am good at chess and I sense the strategy is the same as in end-games involving only kings and rooks.

28 first try. I agree, the idea of a checkerboard seems to imply some sort of diagonal strategy, which isn't needed.

It took me 70 fucking moves to catch the fucking chickens. I suck at this game.
