How did I not know we shared a birthday, Warren? The only other person I know born on October 8th is my cousin Warren. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Happy birthday!

Nope. Well, I mean, I do now, but I didn't this morning. See why taking a nap is one of my plans for the day?

Happy Birthday!

Your bday plans (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=117978&postcount=18) sound absolutely wonderful, Warren!
The only thing I might do is go to the Tulsa State Fair after work today and see "The World's Smallest Horse" and Goliath, the ginormous draft horse, and of course, a deep-fried Snickers bar after I've had my ribeye steak sammich from Oklahoma Beef Council and fire-roasted ear of corn dripping with butter and seasoned salt.

Have a blast!

ETA: I don't know if you have a camera with you, but I would love to see pics of "the world's smallest horse" and Goliath.

Happy Birthday, Honey....Actually guys, the best birthday present he could have today is not working with his regular partner on shift. When I talked with him earlier today he was working with a different person. How much better can it get than that! I haven't heard from Roxanne. I hope they make finals. I am feeling so much better today, just sore. Have a great day!!! Gloria

No. The Paint-Drying channel went off the air after too many of it's patrons passed away. Most died of utter boredom, a few were electrocuted by defective television controls when they tried to change the channel to The Grass-Growing Network.

Hi Warren, how was your birthday? did you have pressies and cake?
I see you have moved to your new 'location' Shady Acres :P

Dingfod
10-09-2005, 03:03 PM
No, that's the Shady Rest Nursing Home, "You can get some rest at the Shady Rest."

The only "pressie" I got was a royal blue polar fleece jacket from my parents and that came as a big surprise. My youngest brother is sending me a shiatt-load of books he's pilfered from his employer, Random House.

No cake, I'm on a diet.

Polar fleece is a nice gift :vibes:

I have not had a cake at my birthday for 7 years :sadcheer:

I might be willing to have cake if it was made of meat and cheese and not sugar and flour.

I was going through the groups last night and have found several recipes for s/f desserts which would be great for birthdays and stuff. One is a cheese cake and your very favorite, peanut butter cookies. Would you like some cookies tonight? We do plan a nice dinner of steak and steak tonight with a side of chicken wings. Along with other surprises. Hope that is alright with you. I will drink my protein and eat my jello. If there is anything else you would like please let me know.

Cookies would be fine.

Happy belated birthday, Warren!

Everytime I see one of these birthday threads, the song plays in my head:

You're havin' a birthday. . . .na na na NA na. (singing, not mocking) Um. . . well, I guess you'd have had to have heard the song before. :giggle:

Anyway, I hope you had a great time.

Actually, I just stopped into your thread to tell you that I really like your new avatar. Very nice!

But you've changed avatars so many times recently that I'm trying to figure out how to describe the one I like--the one with the drawing of the guy's face on a blue background. I really like the colors. :2thumbsup:

Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot??? The only motorcycle I've gained in the last few days is Francois' cobweb covered 1988 Yamaha FZ1. BMW? Hell, yeah! R1200RT? You betcha, I'd take one if someone gave me one.

It was okay, kind of anticlimatic. Fifty wasted years have slipped through my grip, fifty or so more yet to waste, or so I hope.
