I don't know; I just have the affinity for blond hair. Imagine a blond-haired, slim, tall, and intelligent girl. That's a perfect wife for a doctor of philosophy, methinks.
Or is it just me who has this odd affinity for blond hair?

Red heads have a higher incidence of skin cancer?
And more seriously, I'd like to raise a stereotypical view that a doctor should be more concerned about learning than looks, and a philosopher should be more concerned about the mind than the body. Being blond-haired slim and tall may be perfect for you, but not because of being a D Phil.
I like some tall slim blonde girls, and some short dark-haired well-proportioned white girls, and some short black girls.

I don't judge upon the appearance but good-lookingness is always welcome. :innocent: ; and yes, the mind is more important to a philosopher than a body and a doctor should be more concerned about learning than looks, but to a boy hot hot persons should be more important than money right now. (obviously, no? ) :innocent:

I've always preferred black, red or dark brown hair to blonde. Actually a lot of non naturally occurring colors are better than blonde.

I don't judge upon the appearance ...
Not at all?
I'd be lying if I said that physical appearance didn't play a role at all in deciding who I would like to ask out on a date. For me at least, and I have a degree just like yours, physical looks do play a role. They probably play a significant factor too, since it's usually the first thing you notice about someone. So by the time you even get to find out the level of their intelligence (i.e., talk to them) you have already judged them somewhat on their looks.

It's rare but does occur in nature. However, I didn't say it wasn't naturally occurring, just that many colors which aren't are preferable to blonde.

Yes, it's true. But blondes are right up there with the redheads, as far as higher incidence of skin cancer is concerned. In college, I had a petite (as in 4'11" tall), shapely and brunette sweetheart who used to tease me about having weak genes, like all those redheads...(my hair is dishwater blonde, but my beard came in auburn). I was informed early by my father, whose skin is very much like mine (and had had two incidents of skin cancer), and then by two family physicians, that I should stay out of the direct sun as much as possible and cover my skin (particularly my balding pate) or apply sun screen whenever I expected to spend time in the direct sun. The reason: Suseptibility to skin cancer.

I am a natural blonde, but with gray peppered through it (my highlights) people think I am wiser now. So don't diss us naturals, k? :optimist:

I didn't say anything bad about blondes, at least not natural ones, just that they aren't my preference, appearance-wise. My preference in this is strictly aesthetic and shouldn't be taken to mean that I think less of blondes as people.

I'm fairly sure there are some evolutionary reasons as to why men in general prefer blondes.
Of course, I haven't actually read anything other than anecdotal evidence to suggest men do, in general, prefer blondes naturally. It may be a cultural thing, or it may not be true at all!
Imagine a blond-haired, slim, tall, and intelligent girl.
I much prefer imaginging a pretty, intelligent, and short lass (I wouldn't like someone more than six inches taller than me, and I'm not quite short for a gent!), with hair colour of her preference.

Gentlemen prefer blondes, men prefer a wet warm place to stick their dick.
