So, I have an avatar--and it moves. . .a lot. I know that could potentially annoy some of you--so, if it does, let me know and I will change it to something less. . .active.
Also, my friend sent it to me thru email--and we called it the dancing monkey. But RA thinks it's boxing. Now I don't know what it is. What do you think? I love dancing monkeys--they are very appropriate for me.
Toodles.

I think it's really cute, personally. And screw anyone who disagrees! No seriously, anyone who doesn't like it has only to click on your username and select "Hide wildernesse's avatar" and voila! They'll never see it again. :)

I think it's absolutely charming, wildy! It's definitely wearing boxing gloves, but I'd say it's doing more of a kickboxking/Tae Bo thing. Either way, it's a great call and suits you perfectly.
If anyone hates the animation they can just hit Esc on their keyboard and it'll freeze. If anyone hates everything about it and wishes to erase it from the face of the earth, they can simply click on your username and choose "Hide wildernesse's avatar" and they'll never be bothered again.

Annoying? Nah, it's cute....it also looks as though the monkey is trying to box...in fact, it seems as though the lil' guy is trying to punch upwards into the groin of a taller opponent.

Gotta go with the 'cute' vote on this one. Far from annoying. I almost thought it looked like it was boxing too, until I noticed it's wearing a tie (apparently). I've never seen a boxer fight in a tie (seems a bit too formal).

Hm, I forgot to answer the all-important dancing or boxing question. Honestly I've given it a lot of thought, and I've decided that she's a boxer dancing to celebrate her recent victory. :)
I think she's dancing, and is not wearing boxing gloves but pom-poms. She's a cheerleader monkey.

I agree with Joe. Looks like a cheerleader to me. I also do not find your avatar annoying.

I think it's cool and look forward to seeing more of it. ;)

It's a monkey that's played too much Street Fighter.

She looks like she's boxing, but cutely and happily. :)
I don't think your avatar is annoying.

Woohoo! Dancboxcheertiewearetcing Monkey stays! Ambiguity reigns! I'm glad that y'all think it's cute. I have to say that I do love it--and I've been randomly mimicing it (whatever it's doing) a little today.
I so deserve a non-stop monkey avatar. When my friends think "Tiffany", they probably have a very similar image in mind.

I don't want to hear about avatars. I've been using one on my own site, displayed via a general avatar hosting service (http://gravatar.com), and recently several people broke an embarrassed silence to tell me it looks like an x-ray of a penis (http://pharyngula.org/index/weblog/comments/the_x_ray_penis_thingy_controversy/). Seriously, people, does this look like a penis?
http://pharyngula.org/images/gravatars/zebrafish.jpg
It's a fish embryo. Geez.
And then I noticed that the hosting service, which gives avatars a G, PG, R, or X rating to assist in filtering, had given it an R rating. Dang dirty-minded censors. There are a couple of absolutely filthy clouds drifting by my window right now, I think they ought to rush out and stamp some big black bars on them.

Oh? Is it a length and width thing or a weight thing?

Aw shucks, Ex-zombie... You're way too nice to me. Just for that, you can call me liv, dying breath or not. ;)
It looks like a fish embryo to me, having recently been googling for fish images, and a good pic of such.
But yup, it looks like a penis with full scrotal sac (Oliver Stone 1989) too.
Why dontcha turn it upside down? I thought fish embryos oriented that way anyway, with the vacuole/oil drop/whatever at the top.

Sheesh, I dunno know what's wrong with all youse guys's eyeballs (well, hell, I dunno what's wrong with mine, either) but...
From here (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=6735&postcount=7)Normally, you start by drawing a few sketchy bits that tell you where everything will go. So, you don't start with "a face". You start with an oval in the right position to be a face, and then you have a set of learned ways to draw a face on top of an oval...
