Well, tomorrow is the big day. We go in at 10am and then I'll be the father of a brand spanking new baby girl. It will be a cesarean section because she's breech and Jen has had gestational diabetes for some time. Finally, the long anticipated moment is about to arrive!
Also in recent developments, my ex-wife called and voluntarily gave me custody of my 14 year old son. My son whom I haven't seen in over two years! In one week I'll have had two kids, so how about that!?
So my life is in complete disarray as I struggle and make major changes to accommodate everything. My job has been less than understanding about the whole thing, and so I've also lost my job. (Long story there, but they've been trying to get me to quit for a while now, since I needed time off to put everything in order it seems they got their wish.)
Strangely, I don't really feel the sense of sheer panic my brain keeps telling me I should have. I can find another job (and I need one FAST) and I can get public assistance in the meantime to help.
Everything is ok though. I have my son, and a new daughter on the way! I remain optimistic everything will turn out alright.

Congrats on the baby, Braces!
You better check the return policy on the 14 yr. old, though. They don't generally just give those things away unless there's something wrong with 'em. :D

Oh wow, Braces, I know the separation from your son has been painful. I'm really happy for you that it will soon be over. Congratulations on the arrival of the princess and best of luck on the job hunt.
Goooooooo Braces!
:cheer:
Wow, Braces! you will have your hands full. Congrats on your new baby girl and being reunited with your Son. All the best!
Congratulations.
Being a parent is the most rewarding thing I've ever done. As the musical South Pacific informs us, somebody has to teach our children whom to hate. And I'm just the man for the job!

WOOT! Ok, I don't have much time (for obvious reasons) Elaina Joy Rose was born at 11:38 am, weighing 7 pounds on the nose and is 19 1/2 inches long. She has brown hair and blue eyes (so far) and damn is she adorable! Pics to come soon when I can upload them!
Thanks for the congratulations all!

Thanks for the photos, BracesForImpact!!!
The one with both your kids is beautiful -- they are both gorgeous. My favorites are the first (son and daughter) and last and photo number 2 with you and Jen: happy parents!
As others have said, the last photo is wonderful. Elaina looks content and resting up as if to say "Ok, got done cooking, now for the fun part!"
Beautiful photos :) new born babies make me all mushy and sentimental
Congratulations again,
