View Full Version : I have a boob question
Carnivale Ed

So, I went to dinner at my aunts house the other night with my brother and we were met with a bit of a shock. Our young female cousin seems to have developed quite a generous chest. This was pretty surprising, because it doesn't seem like we saw her all that long ago, about three months, we reckon.
We were talking about it on the way home, and neither of us could figure out how long it takes boobs to 'come in'. I thought back to the early years of high school, but all I can really remember, is girls seemingly sprouting overnight. That can't be right, can it? So, ladies, for my mammorial edification, how long does it take to go from flat, to fabulous?

If my youngest daughter is any indication the bosom can go from not much to ample in a very short period of time.
Carnivale Ed
10-27-2005, 02:30 PM
That's what I'm after, though, a rough estimate. Months? Surely not weeks.
Dingfod
10-27-2005, 02:30 PM
Weeks would probably mean implants, but three or four months or so, given the growth spurts that teens can have, is possible.
Carnivale Ed
10-27-2005, 02:36 PM
Well, that fits with my cousin. The three of four months, I mean, not the implants. I guess I was just wondering whether they'd developed over a longer period of time, and I'd just not noticed until now. It was winter last time I saw her, so she was probably in big, bulky jumpers and stuff and they would have been easily hidden.
I don't even remember a training bra, just seemed jump from nothing to the size I am now before my 14th birthday.
When her body catches up with them they shouldn't seem SO big, unless of course she doesn't get much bigger.
I was forever being teased about the size of mine and now male mates tell me they've shrunk, when I can say without a doubt my bra size hasn't changed, it's just my bones caught up.

I have absolutely no idea what a training bra is. I've heard the term often enough, but don't know how it differs from a regular bra.

Training bras don't really support much (because they don't have much to support); they're really more about shaping. I hated having to get a bra, but I hated nipping out even more, especially under those white cotton school blouses.
Carnivale Ed
10-27-2005, 02:50 PM
Okay, but how's it different? I can't really make out anything significant. Is it just simpler, smaller, no wire, etc?
livius drusus
10-27-2005, 02:51 PM
No underwire and no actual cup size, Ed. Oops, yeah, what your edit said. :giggle:

Okay, clear on the training bra - it's essentially for shaping and keeping nips under control.
It's no fun, though. Half the fun in high school was perving at girls in those white cotton shirts :yup:
livius drusus
10-27-2005, 03:11 PM
Yeah, but it's not so much fun when you're self-conscious about your nascent boobs and they either garner perving or teasing. It wasn't a big problem for me but I know it is for some girls.
The big problem came a few years later when I started doing varsity sports but hadn't gotten a sports bra yet. That was some pain right there, my friend.
I remember the boys used to love watching us play basket ball
Dingfod
10-27-2005, 04:24 PM
During the years that Carol Marie played high school basketball attendance records were set because half the men in town went to the games to see her melon-sized boobs bounce up and down the court.
One of my daughter's friends, who I'd say I see every couple of weeks at least, went from buds (that stage seems to last a while; my daughter's there. You could easily not notice under winter clothes) to boobs in a flash. It might have included the time we were in the UK and could have been 6 weeks but no more. They're both 11.
I'm 40 and still waiting for generous boobs

Yes, boobs come in quickly. That's why we get such lovely stretch marks.
Adora
10-28-2005, 01:05 AM
A couple of months or so, when I was about 11-12. They kept growing after that, of course, but yeah. Sounds like your cousin is pretty normal. My boobs stopped growing when I was 13, and the stretch marks on them and my hips only faded completely after about 4 years.
Carnivale Ed

Stretch marks, something else I hadn't considered. Boobs, is there anything they can't do?

The bra makes them grow to a certain shape? What if a cubical cup bra were made? Euclidean Brand. Cubical boobs? Or a tetrahedron cup bra....?

I think she means they're about making the boob look a certain shape under the girl's clothes when she wears one.

I went straight to cup bras, but they didn't actually have underwires. Except for the strapless torture one.

All you need to know is you're lucky you don't have them ... They get in the way, we have to wear extra items of clothing and they get painful, real painful at times.

Well, as the initiator of this discussion, I suppose this chore falls to me. Alas, I do what I must!
CE, secretly giggling like a schoolgirl.
So do you buy for the bigger or the smaller ???
I remember the horrifying experience of my mother taking me to be meassured at the department store when I was about 16. It was only because the bra I had on didn't have a size in it (I cut the label out) and I couldn't remember, she wanted to buy me some new stuff.
Veritas
10-29-2005, 03:55 PM
I buy for the bigger, it's only a miniscule difference, not even a cup size. It's just the normal very very slight difference that most women have.
I hear men have one bollock slightly bigger than the other, too.

The difference between mine isn't that pronounced, so I just buy the bra and change the shoulder-straps slightly. The brand of bra I buy is a minimiser so it doesn't have a really pronounced cup shape though it does have a cup size. I guess if I bought push-ups or some lame thing like that I'd have to worry about the slightly larger/smaller one.

With push-ups these days you can take scissors to the inserts and customize the size and shape.
I wonder if that will raise any new questions among the gents.

When I buy a push up bra with chicken fillets, I remove leftie's and move it over to righty, to help out there.
I never wear push ups anymore, sometimes I miss them, but in the summer wearing vest tops I looked good enough without them.
Veritas

I'm only 34B, which is passable, and to be honest, I don't wear push-ups that often any more, they tend to squash. I'm just the right size to get away without a bra; I never wear one in the house, they're just too restrictive. Also if I go out clubbing at the weekend I rarely wear an outfit that requires one. Just a strappy top.

Crikey! Good show! You all knew that post would bring me into this thread, didn't you?
Seriously, I was watching Howard Stern's E! show some years ago and they had a girl on who had a severe disparity in the size of her boobs. We're talking C on one side and A (or AA even) on the other. She used some special padding or something to push the small side enough to make it look like she had some cleavage. You couldn't really tell it was that bad. I think she actually even worked at Hooters. I think they paid for her to get an implant to even things up.

I don't remember much about my boobage growth. What I do remember is that when I was thirteen this skinny little girl gained thirty pounds in one month (maybe two but it was faaaast) and she didn't grow taller, and she didn't get fatter. She got hips and thighs, butt and probably a little more fat for the boobage. :cheer: It was a good month. :yup:

I prefer the look of smaller breasts myself and I'm not kidding. My sister has full C's, my Mother has full B's and my aunt has A's. Mine stopped at B and I thought that was great considering the pain aspect, how they fit in clothes, and my athleticism. I don't have to wear a bra all the time, my back and neck doesn't hurt because of them, they aren't constantly weighing down the skin so much.
I had C sized breasts and I didn't like them at all. Granted, they were heavier than what the normal C-cup would be, but, I'm content. A little lift and I'd be perfectly pleased.
Oddly enough, it's my aunt that always attracted men like flies. :chin:

Just a Mediteranean beauty with an exciting personality because oddly enough, some men don't find women with big boobs really worthwhile if they're a big ol' downer or if it means they're fat, or if the have two asses to go along with those oversized unmanageable probably worth whining about breasts. Your mileage may vary, however.

I won't tell these feminists though, that there's something wrong with the size of their breasts. Might make them feel like they weren't good enough as women, and they need to get surgery to measure up to other feminists, or some such stupid empty societal dictates or the having to cater to the pleasures of men as if nature isn't good enough.
Hypocrites are so cool.
Sweetie
11-14-2005, 06:01 PM
Women aren't good enough in whatever shape and size they come in, and even after suffering giving birth three times, and breastfeeding which reduces the size of a woman's breasts. It's life, it's great when people find you attractive regardless, it's the whole point of feminism I always thought, the idea that we as women, don't have to cater to any man-made standards and we aren't about pleasing other people, but being ourselves, and it's not our fault we aren't plastic perfect dolls or porn stars who have to have surgery to measure up.
It's my fault of course, that I got pregnant and that pregnancy damaged my body. I should be made to suffer for it. I am no longer good enough, but thanks for playing, right?
Completely antithetical to all thoughts I ever considered feminist.

Adora is a feminist and I was under the impression that she was of the opinion that the size of women, their breasts etc, didn't matter, we are all good enough as women and we shouldn't be made to buy into a standard that is both unreachable and based on man's vision of what women should be. We shouldn't conform to what men want, we should just be ourselves.
I just thought her critique of my breasts a little antithetical to such a sentiment, and therefore hypocritical. Or maybe only feminists can criticize breasts and attempt to make other women and other feminists feel less because they aren't quite the double D that Adora is. There is a breast standard and she's trying to use it against me, and I am lacking according to Adora's standard so instead of it being a man's standard, it's hers. I thought she basically just cut off the limb she was sitting on as support for her other beliefs and opinions and I wanted to point it out.
I used the expression once that "any stick was good enough to beat Sweetie with" and I don't think it was understood.
It means that someone will just attack with anything, even if they were contradicting themselves in the process. They could bitch you're too thin one minute, and if that didn't work, that you're too fat. Which is it? In the end, what is thin or fat? In that sense, some people are willing to contradict themselves to hit someone else, to decimate themselves while thinking they have a reasonable motive for action. Nope, they're just a mess, most likely just a jealous mess.

They can be heavy drinkers and potheads, but I'm the one who's on drugs of course. They can prove they're sober, and then worry about proving whether I am or not.

Ever do drugs?
Nope, everybody else here pretty much has though, or relies on them daily to get by though apparently I'm the insane one.
One could suggest that a sober man in a roomfull of drunks looks a little odd, but.....
Suggest all you want but I really think you should see a quack, you could use something to get you into a better frame of mind.

Right, noted. Anything else weak to say? Can you suggest the ones you're on that I could do so that I can be as weak-minded as you? Do we really need to continue this? Do you know me at all?
We could start over, it's nice to meet you and all that. Hi, my name is Rebecca, what's yours? Where are you from?
Just a thought.

Hey!!!
It was just a thought. I am getting really sick of this whole "revert to insinuating insanity" deal that weak-minded people are wont to employ instead of actually saying something strong and meaningful.
I could ask them to prove they're sane, so that I can believe that I am insane but alas.....an exercise in futility.
They can be heavy drinkers and potheads, but I'm the one who's on drugs of course. They can prove they're sober, and then worry about proving whether I am or not.Well, you can't be the only sane one here because I'm the only sane one here.

I suppose we could ask by what standard do we appeal to to declare something insane or sane? :dunno:
You may be the only sane one here but I still like you, it's ok, I'll forgive you. :pat:

Take it easy with the sanity declarations there, I've got a reputation to uphold.

Never met you from Adam, however you appear to want to "make" the forum friendly so you can bring in your new friends to a much nicer atmosphere.
As they say, "you ain't doin too well".
I don't even know Adora but I think I have an idea why she loves you so much... NOT!!

I'm negative enough to ignore all the praise heaped on me and concentrate only on the criticisms. Why do you think I have certain folks on Ignore?

In other words, you are completely clueless to the year or so long struggle that lead up to this, to the newbies that have been viciously attacked by her, and really anything important about the matter at hand in order to be able to offer an educated opinion and still you do and believe you are right. Interesting.
And for the record, lest you think you are safe from the Adora hate/vicious abuse, she'll bite your head off and attack you as well, she's an equal opportunity abuser. I won't say I told you so.
But it was edifying to have met you. I don't know anything about you but that you think you are right about matters you are uninformed about and you like to jump on bandwagons with vigor and self-righteous immature idignation.
You'll fit in well here. :yup:

This is your problem, you see, Sweetie. You made a very good point earlier - but it's going to get lost in the noise: a noise you willingly participate in and encourage - and one that is nothing but a bitch fight and feeds your persecution complex.
So, back to boobies - and back to your point about anti-female sexism coming as much from feminists as it does from men....
...or is that not as exciting as petty tit-for-tatting? (Pardon the pun)
YOU MADE A GREAT POINT EARLIER - for fuck's sake, work with it.

You know Sweetie you are absolutly right, I don't know about the year you have gone through, other than reading here and there. I just answered the post you sent me... true I started it, I dont jump on bandwagons but I can read between the spokes.
If Adora wants to bite my head off I am sure she will have a good reason for it.
Did I just open Pan Adora's Box?

Honestly Warren, whether you care or not, I do not want to read anything by D.Scarlatti at all. Maybe you're mocking me, he probably utlimately is, maybe you don't care, maybe you believe it's an oversensitivity, maybe this or maybe that.........it's just not funny and you may not care, but I don't want anything to do with D. Scarlatti or Adora and I truly hope they enjoy each other and continue to drink from the same well. I feel like you're mocking me and you may, but I would wish you wouldn't since you know, I've been lectured that this would be the way another would handle the situation if it were him. See how effective it is, I'm not real hopeful.
I don't understand why he has to be here in this thread....oh, boobs, Adora, he wants 'em. Please God, give them to him.

Well, they probably haven't grown-up either, so they're not to their full size.
No way they should do that.
Probably a pack of lesbians, so no men involved.Yes, I'm joking.

What the hell happened, this thread was about tits... geez guys, how can you fuck up something like TITS?!?!?!
Anyway, back on the grand subject of TITS, a girlfriend I had in high school was kind of the laugh of the town when she was 15. She was just about flat as a board. Sucks that she got shit on as much as she did, because she was really cute and really sweet.
While we were going out (this lasted about 10 months before her parents up and decided to move to fuckin' Seattle) .... she went from training bra to C's. It wasn't overnight but it wasn't slow either. She just... well... grew some severe boobs. By about month 7 all my friends were jealous as shit :D

To get back to the OP, I can't actually remember but it can't have taken long. I started very early and by ten had a good handful which gradually got bigger over the next few years but in the main appeared in a short space of time.
