I see my Italian brethren have their heads screwed on as right as ever. :) The results are of course entirely unreliable since there's no independent verification of respondents' nationalities/locations, but still, I see little point to people stuffing the ballot boxes unless it's of key countries like Afghanistan and Iraq (both of which are quite dramatically more pro-Bush than other places).
I really wish they had a feedback page so we could see all the comments.

I love France and Ireland--5 and 4% for Bush, respectively. :yup:
But how does Antarctica have over 100 votes?
But how does Antarctica have over 100 votes?
How many scientists are studying on the continent? Anyway, that Is an excellect question!

I love it, but I don't trust it. For the U.S., its numbers are 30% Bush to 69% Kerry... don't I wish!
If the whole world were actually voting they'd come and campaign here. No thanks!

Oh, neither do I. :)
But like you, I love it.
I have often argued the benefit of the world being able to contribute to the US Presidential vote, as the US President has such an impact on the globe as a whole, not just America. So this betavote thingy really tickled my fancy. :)
...and my fancy was ever so grateful...

Probably quite a few. Here is a webpage that looks at science in Antarctica: http://www.antarcticconnection.com/antarctic/science/index.shtml
Add to that the kitchen staff, technicians and engineers, etc, etc, and you would have a sizeable community living in the freezer down under. :)
