Anyone watch this game versus Florida? Good god it had my nerves going near the end.
The lowdown:
Fourth quarter, Tennessee is down 28-21. Tennessee comes back to score a touchdown, but Wilhoit missed the extra point, so TN is still down 28-27. Thirteen seconds left in the game, from fifty yards away near the right-side out-of-bounds marker, Wilhoit kicks a fieldgoal to tie win the game 30-28...
Damn....

Gosh, I miss enjoying college football. That's the kind of sweaty, nerve wracking endings I used to live for!
But the last time I really cared the battle cry was "Roll Tide!" :cheer:

I missed it, but it sounds great. I love it when anybody beats Florida, Florida State or Miami. I'm sick of seeing them in the top ten perpetually. I'm sorta the same way about Oklahoma and Nebraska, but the Florida teams really rankle. I'm watching West Virginia and hoping they'll do well. My Hokies look pretty lame (hokie, I guess) so far this season....maybe they can spoil in a game with Miami, now in their league. I liked seeing ol' Oregon State take LSU two overtimes and losing only on a missed field goal. I woulda loved to have seen that upset, but no such luck.
A good game is a game that ends like that. Hard fought and close, preferrably with a fair amount of scoring (defensive games drag for me.). The Tennessee/Florida game sound just like that...good game.
Congrats! Keep up the good work!
Go Vols!~

No need to feel guilty. I'm sure godfry is relieved you're here so he'll have someone else to share his unhealthy compulsion (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=442). :giggle:

TN's offense looks great this year, i really have hopes for them...although i'd be much more pleased if they got their turnover rate down...
but i have a bad feeling about their defense... they have alot of hard hitters, but not enough people who can bring someone down....
