Hello there,
I am just getting warmed up to the idea of forums; for a while now I have avoided them like they were churches or something...
I think all the pretty smilies have converted me more than anything else. :D
It also could be that I am on vacation due to the turkeytude, and I'd rather peruse the internet then do all my intense community college homework...enough said.

I'm not sure what proper introduction protocol is; let's just say that I am a spiritually vague individual with a penchant for Hume-ism. Meaning I find it much easier to argue a point rather then to take a stand for something...

We shall see how this plays out... :P
I fucking love these smilies! So many!

The Wanting Seed is a novel by anthony Burgess; sort of a 1984esque piece studying social trends to the extreme...I admit that there are more original names out there, but this one usually illicits some sort of response or another, so I rather like it.

I've never seen it before (nor had I heard of the novel before  ), so it's as original as it gets to me. I find it downright poetic.

Well then there you go! :yes!:
It's definitely worth a read; I actually like it better than Orwell's work.

Yo... thewantingseed...

Well, there is the intro questions thread that you can answer. That oughta keep us all amused for a bit.

Um, how do you wish to be referred informally...
"the"?
"want"?
"wanting"?
"seed"?
"tws"?
something else..."hey you", perhaps?

Any preferences? 'Cause I'm telling you right now, it's too long and will be shortened. Just look at the admins.

(And just this warning...I think I know how your handle will be snidely twisted and changed. PM me if you wish to know.)

Then, you could clue us in on some basics like gender :hands1: :hands2: and more specific locale. :lostmap:

Like me, I'm male and I live in the Pacific NW of the US.

...and you'll note that my name isn't capitalized, either.
:godfry::larrow: me

Otherwise, welcome. We'll help you make every exam prep last minute.

One... get in on the selection of the uber-champion from the smiley horde, heat one.

Two... get over to the gallery (pull down "site navigation" above and click on "gallery" and check out the category champions in the Smilie Hall of Champions.

Three...while in the gallery, check out the pix posted by regulars (including your truly).

Four... start thinking about an avatar for yourself.

Jump in and start kickin'.

I guess I could leave the decision of what I should be called up to the masses; I'm sure there are many creative spins on thewantingseed that I daren't even fathom. I am of the masculine gender, and I live in the New England area. I shall get cracking on all the suggestions.
ceptimus: the challenge is on. :muahaha:
:depressd: damn I just tried.
