So....
Many folks here are prepping for December 25 with the typical mindrot crap associated with christmas...
Yet, I've not seen anyone make any mention of Chanukka, that celebration of yet another proclaimed miracle.
What? No Jewish backgrounds in this crowd? What kind of pluralism is that?
I've got four chanukkiah and a supply of candles.
For everybody's reference, this year Chanukka starts at sundown on December 25 and lasts through sundown on January 2. Dust off the dreidels. Load up on gelt now!

Wow... No baby brain bashers in the crowd, eh?
Stinkin' buncha Amalekites.

Oh, I know buptkis... I am, after all,
the irreverand godfry n. glad,
wholly naught of the circle of buptkis
All our members are naughty.
When they seek buptkis, they obtain it.
Nothing is sacred.
Zip to you, too.

What? Did they then sell you to heathens for a goat and ten sheep?
So... You're the token, eh? It's nice to know that there's at least one around. This board seems a bit slim on Semites.
My wife was a "cultural" Jew, raised in Jewish traditions, but philosophically an atheist. I understand it's fairly common. Her brother was Conservative. This time of year, I ache to hear her do the prayer whilst lighting the candles.
I certainly don't know why secular society hasn't picked up on Chanukka. After all, there's eight stinkin' days of gift giving, and candy, money and gambling all feature fairly prominently in the celebration. It sounds to me like it was made to order for 'Merkin "culture", but even heathens heel to the "party line" of one day of gift-giving whilst hunkered around a home fire hazard.
