So I get a call at work yesterday, a flower shop wanting to know if I'll be home today.
"Who's sending me flowers?"
"I can't tell you, but think, what is tomorrow"
"Tomorrow is nothing special"
"Are you sure?"
"<look at calendar> Oh, that"
"Um, okay, see ya tomorrow"
So, I read the card this morning, and it says "Happy second anniversary, sorry I can't be with you. Blah Blah Love, Steve"
That poor flower lady thought I had forgotten my own wedding anniversary...and then didn't care about it when I did remember it...which I find amusing to no end.
Anyway, I feel no special need necessarily to mark today, other than to those of you who were around and supported me who I want to thank again.

That was really lovely of Steve. You should send him flowers back through the same florist and really mess with her head.
Happy kidney anniversary, Shea. You rule. :queen:

That was really lovely of Steve. It was, but I spent the whole week listening to his bitching because he got shingles. Really, really TMI for me. Detailed descriptions of rashes near ass cracks :eww:

ROFL. I feel kinda bad when I am not laughing about it...it was a bad day and she hit me at a bad time and probably thinks I am the world's most ungrateful wife!
Happy kidney anniversary, Shea. You rule. :queen:
Yeah, I rule! Sure hope I didn't "peak" with having my belly slit open.

Forgive me for laughing at your misfortune. The whole exchange with the florist is pretty great too.
Poor flower lady.

Heh! I like the idea of sending some back to him for the benefit of the florist:
"Steve, thanks for the flowers and reminder of this special day. We may not be together but you know a part of me is always with you. And you better take care of it, I'm not doing it again!"

 You really ought to send that, LadyShea.
PS - Damn, you rock. That was a wonderful thing to do.
There are inspiring threads and then there's this. What great people there are on this board. I'm feeling warm and fuzzy all over! :cheerful:

I bet that ointment Steve was using for his shingles could help with this, too! :doctor2:

I'm pretty sure I already told you congratulations in private, but I'll do so here to so nobody thinks I'm well, more of an asshole than I am. :)
