My memories of Jeff will always be good ones. Skeptoid is one of a handful of people on these forums that I truly admire. As many here have observed, and I wholeheartedly concur, he was kind, keenly witty, intelligent, artistic, and always willing to help others. He had a way of making a person feel like they mattered. There can be no question that he had a genuinely positive impact upon a great many people who interacted with him on these forums. In other words, Jeff left the world a better place than he found it.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your family's loss,
Richard

Hear, hear. Many people on these boards remember Skep as the first person to welcome them, to help them with their avatars, to help them with their posts or computers in general. He was just so generous.

Seems this thread fell off the first page. Oh well.

Noble sentiments for what sounds like a noble man. Allow me to bump it.

I know I will miss Skep. In fact, I was already missing him before finding out what happened.

He made us :cancan3: :cancan2: :ff: :ffglomp: :ppilot: (that's Pontius Pilot, inspired by a wonderful typo of Albert Cipriani's) and he fixed :spanishinq:, which everywhere else on the web is written as "Noone" instead of what Monty Python actually said.
Then there was the time (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=76028#post76028) he made my :caesar: smiley with an Aldis Lamp flashing "Et tu, Brute" in Morse Code.
Jeff was a delight in every way. We're so lucky to have known him.

I've been missing him for a while.
I remember one week when it seemed I was quoting and agreeing with everything he said. I apologized for seemingly stalking him in a sycophant way, but it really was his own fault for being so insightful and durned 'right on the money.'
My condolences to you and please know that we truly enjoyed his company and will miss him very much. He spoke of his family in the best of terms and I still remember the amazing birthday dinner you (or another sister?) made for him [link (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1591) and link (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=35410)] And so kind to provide the recipes for the wonderful dishes he enjoyed so much.

Jeff was always happy to help people out at these forums with any graphics issues, especially avatars. There are too many instances of this to list, so I've just picked a couple of threads as examples from the JREF forum:
Here's one (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=15902&highlight=avatar)
and here's another (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=18537&highlight=avatar)
