I work part time for a cstore company. It varies between 24-40 hrs a week, and I deliver swords for my brother.

I float around to different stores depending on where I am needed, and the hrs I work vary based on what they need. I pull shifts like a cashier but I also do paperwork when managers are on vacation or out sick.


last night as I went in to work 3rd shift,

2 guys came out, one of them was carrying 3 6pks of heineken, the cashier yelled for me to stop them. Did I mention that that store is in the ghetto?

I tell the guy to stop, and he drops the 6pks and pulls a gun, points it at me and tells me that I wont stop him.

He fires a shot in the air.

I remember thinking that he was a fucking cunt.

So I let him know how I felt.

I called him a cunt and told him to fucking shoot me.

He walked away, I keep within 5-10 ft of him, incredibly pissed off and I just keep calling him a cunt and I must have told him to shoot me 4-5 times.

I wasnt scared, I didnt think that he would shoot me but I also didnt want to scuffle with a dipshit with a gun. I guess I am not that stupid. He got on his bicycle after I went to call the police I watched him pedal away.

anyway, he is on video with the beer in the store and the police showed me a picture lineup with a guy that looked like the aforementioned cunt. I hope they catch the cunt and he goes to jail for quite awhile.


I have mixed feelings, the gun could have been a starter pistol and no real danger or it could have been a 22 revolver. I was close enough that I could have tackled him when he fired in the air. I wish that I had but realize that the smart thing to do was to just let him go.

actually the cops are writing it up as theft by shoplifting one count and 2 counts of aggravated assualt.

It was never about the money, I just really cant stand being threatened, I go all stupid when it happens. I just felt complete rage. And, yes, I realize now that I was being incredibly fucking stupid. At least I didnt jump him like I wanted to, that shows some sort of small amount of restraint.

I totally understand. I get very aggressive and stupid when someone threatens me, too. Twice, I had people break into my house while I was home, and twice, I chased them. The first time, I was in a nightshirt, and I chased the guy into the alley, screaming for the guy to get back here right now, because I was allowed to kill him. The second time, I got in my car and went searching for the guy so I could run him over, I guess. And I once slammed a guy into a brick wall once for grabbing me, too.

I know you want to kick the guys' asses, and I know you don't really think about it when you're that mad and that threatened. But what would be even better than giving them bruises and such that would heal in a week or so is for the fuckers to end up in jail for a really long time, wouldn't it?

And you have at least a little more to contribute to the world than escalating some other felony to a homicide.

If you're not sure if you can let someone rob you without getting into a rage, then you really need to quit that job, because it will probably happen again. Which is actually probably the best idea if it's at all possible. (Or you could tell your boss you can't go to that store anymore. You have been robbed there a couple of times. It's not unreasonable.)

the thing I realize now is that I am pretty intimidating. I am 5 11 weigh about 260 and I have a shaved head and goatee and I this bitchin prominent neanderthal brow.
