Okay, guys...
Get ready for a spate of volcano related reports from my part of the country. Mt. St. Helens has been rumbling all week long, with earthquakes in the Richtor 2 range every minute or two, and finally emitted a belch of steam, smoke, rock and ash just this morning.
It's still very small; nothing of the scale of the eruption in 1980....yet.
Hey, lunachick! We've got our very own little piece of New Zealand here!

I think I have a jar full of the 1980 ash...somewhere.
I should sell that on ebay.

But doesn't everything end up being a discussion about food? :D

True. In the spirit of which, I'm reminded of a birthday cake I once had in the shape of a volcano. Lots of chocolate fudge icing with lines scored down the side with a fork.

Well... the momentous poot came and went.
Now all the geological poobahs are waxing judicious about another, bigger eruption in the near future....with magma.
Is everybody in the northern U.S. ready for a dose of ash?
