Well, last night was a great night...

Last night was our (daniel boone HS's) homecoming football game. In the past two years, we've never once been accused of having a good football team, usually winning one or two games per season.

Well this year we've been doing a little better, we were 3 and 2 coming into our homecoming game against undefeated Johnson County, one of the best teams in the region.

Game ends, huge fireworks display, bands play, DBHS wins 14-6. High School football rules.

Sapulpa (unranked) is 3-1 now, beating two teams that have beaten them every year, Broken Arrow (ranked 4th in state) two weeks ago and Stillwater last night; Tahlequah was a gimme. However, they were beaten by Enid (my alma mater) last week, who never wins anything, never has.

anyway, I know what it like to go to a high school with a shitty football team. Hell I didnt even root for us when I played.

Hmm... coming to IL from the outskirts of Boston, one of the things I picked on pretty quick is that homecoming seems to be a pretty big deal out here. Back home, there was a pep rally that mostly just meant we all left school an hour early (I don't know how many people actually went to the pep rally, but many didn't)... I never went to a single homecoming game. :shrug:
