I am not sure if there is another thread on this movie, I looked but I could not find it.

I am watching it now, this is probably my fourth time viewing. I have to say that I adore this movie. It is so sweet, romantic, funny, and uplifting. It is also loaded with my favorite non-merkin people in the world, the Brits, some uber sexy Brits, such as Colin Firth, at that!

I love the way so many people's stories are told, but they all seem to be meshed together. It is intelligent and witty and I get my romance without a bunch of tear jerking tragedy or mindless fluff.

I especially like Colin, the horny virgin who decides to come to America to get laid by American girls who find his accent irresitable.

I liked it to. I loved how the one guy came all the way to the US and ended up in Wisconsin.

"Hi kids, here's an important message from your Uncle Bill. Don't Buy drugs. ...Become a pop star and they give you them for free!" I love the Billy character, too. He was done brilliantly, I think.

I liked it. I identified with the widower played by Liam Neeson. I liked the kid storyline. Good kid. Great girlfriend.

The Billy bit was pure genius.

I really liked Laura Linney's work, too. Sad. It was nice to see Alan Rickman in a subdued role. Hugh Grant as the Prime Minister was a bit of a stretch, but I understand the attraction to the little brunette....who was that?

I'm still waiting for my Christine, myself. :yowza:

I completely enjoyed the movie, especially since I watched in the company of a couple of my favorite people (and the nicest foot warming furrkids) in a very comfy living room. Near the end of the movie, I started to be concerned that all of the relationships were doomed. I became sad. I was impressed how all of the vignettes were tied up nicely and plausibly.
