Isn't my new cursor irresistibly cute? Dutchie17 over at dA made it. Don't even pretend you can resist it because you can't, and I won't have this thread turned into a thread of LIES.

All together now :aww:.

I liked it so much I assigned it to my "working in the background" cursor. I guess that makes it mine and not yours anymore. HA!

That's cool, capp. I prefer keeping it all to myself anyway. :wriggle:

That's not one of those comet cursor things that gives you viruses, is it? I hope so, because my mac doesn't support it.

Lawds no. I don't even know what a comet cursor thing that gives you viruses is. :duh:

I dunno. The image doesn't show up on my screen at all (I'm on a PC at the moment), and when I tried clicking on it, the anti-virus program said that it was trying to download a program to my computer and blocked it.

Cheers,

Michael

To view it I had to save it to my hard drive, then go into control panel --> Mouse --> Pointers, click browse, then find and select the file. That changes your default cursor to that file, then you can go back in and change it back (if you want).

Finally, after having to download it and view it in an animated cursor editor ...

I can say ...

Well, it's an ani file. I suppose that could be called a program. It doesn't show up on your screen because you need Animation Shop or similar program to launch it. Otherwise, you save it and install it as vm suggested.

It's not a virus of any kind, I assure you.

Okay, I've saved it in .gif form so everyone can see it without the groovy software or having to install it.

Oh sure, now that I've already downloaded it and followed vm's instructions on how to see it. Then I scroll down and see the above post.

OK, sure, it's cute, but as for the file I downloaded: ahhhhhh ... DELETED!

Uh oh. You know what happens next, right? You have to make a whole catalog of cursors. You need to make an entire theme so people can have similar cuteness for different functions, like working, working in background, etc.

Rumor has it dutchie17 is planning on making a complete set of these cursors. Rumor also has it that I peed my pants when I heard that.

There is a god. Dutchie be thy name.

Its cuteness is exquisite. I hope Dutchie17 can make more. :wriggle:

He's made a set (http://www.deviantart.com/view/27678434/)! :excited: I'm using 6 of them even as I type, and they totally slay me. I won't attach the whole shebang 'cause that wouldn't be fair to him, but here are some gif versions so you can the adorability for yourselves.

For some reason, I assumed Dutchie17 was a girl. :sorry:

I have started using them, too. At first they were a little distracting, but I have fallen in love with them. Too bad there only really three icons that get used frequently.

Has Dutchie17 made an entire suite of them yet? Ones that would work as a cohesive set? The ones I got from his page seem to not qualify as a unified suite of cursors.

My thoughts exactly. It took me a while (like maybe an hour) to get used to the change, but their total cuteness won the day before I even know it. Now I don't mind waiting for a page to load anymore. :wriggle:

That's all I've seen so far, MonCap. I doubt he'd make a bunch more for the rarely used ones.
