It looks like it's designed along the lines of the Crystal Cathedral in California.

I love the picture with the cat lounging on the floor of the cathedral. It sure gives the true size perspective of the Lego structure.

I like these Lego Eshers. It's nice to see someone making 'impossible' structures out of real Lego pieces. :)

I also like the Escher Lego constructions. Very cool.

I remember seeing the real thing as a kid...Robert Schuler (sp?), an old white haired guy, was the telvangelist, I think...

I really think it's more of a megachurch than a cathedral. I mean, cathedrals are old and made of stone and have archbishops & stuff.

Very nice project, though--and I especially liked going through all those pictures and coming at the end upon a pretty cat. :) Pleasantly random, I thought (until I saw Shake's link and discovered the cat is connected!).

I second that notion. I especially dislike the Air Force one. I think gothic cathedrals kick the asses of modern churches when they are on their worst day and the moderns on their best.
