A thread at IIDB about which country has the best constitution had me scratching my head. I was sure we didn't have one, and I'm pretty much right, though not completely. I knew our founding document was The Treaty of Waitangi, and I knew we had a Bill of Rights.

So I googled NZ Constitution to see what I would find, and the Goveror-General's page (http://www.gg.govt.nz/role/constofnz.htm) on The Constitution of New Zealand totally cracked me up.

As Head of State, Queen Elizabeth’s formal New Zealand title is “Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, Queen of New Zealand and Her Other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith”.

I hope all those titles don't get mentioned every time ol' Betty gets announced at one of those cucumber sandwich shindigs. The guests would have starved to death by the time Lizzies whole resume is read out.
