Rodney Dangerfield, Comic Seeking Respect, Dies at 82 (http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/06/arts/06dangerfield.html?oref=login&hp)

Rodney Dangerfield was pretty cool. The most disturbing segment of Natural Born Killers was the faux sitcom in which he appeared.

My favorite Rodney Dangerfield joke: "My wife, she's such a slob. Everytime I take a piss in the sink it's full of dirty dishes."

Great joke and I totally agree with you on his FUCKED up scene in NBK. A lot of his "I get no respect" yuks were eyerollers for me, but he was a fine guest voice on The Simpsons (few celebrities can say the same) and he very seriously put his back into everything he ever did.

:sadcheer:

I read the news last night. I was most suprised by the fact that he was 82 yrs. old. I never realized he had been around for so many years. I was also surprised to hear that he had a brain bypass, which sounds more like a punchline to one of his jokes.

Natural Born Killers is one of my favorite movies, and I agree that his role was one of the most disturbing scenes in it. It's the first really serious part I've ever seen him play and his performance was frighteningly realistic.

That joke made me laugh out loud, Scarlatti. I don't remember ever hearing it.

XM Radio's comedy channel is playing his comedy bits at the top of each hour in tribute. I'd forgotten how funny the guy's stand-up could be.

Well okay, but only cause I just uploaded them yesterday and haven't had a chance to use the really cute one yet, not because I think your opinion of RD deserves scorn.

beyelzu, you ignorant slut: :rolleye2:
