Daylight saving started last weekend, and I'd noticed that my computer clock had not changed, so I check it out and find that it's told me the right time all through the winter but while set in the wrong time zone. So I change the time zone back to NZ, and click the thingy to have it register daylight savings times.

Now, my clock tells me that yes, I'm set at the NZ time zone, and yes, it's set for daylight saving, but it's telling me the wrong time! It currently reads 11.41am, yet it's actually 4.51pm.

What went wrong, and how do I fix it?

:confused2:

Are you kidding me?

I just changed shifts...I have no clue what day it is...much less how to fix the Daylight savings time adjusted for New Zealand!

I hear ya! Lately I've only been sleeping every second day, and even when I look at a calendar, I can't tell what day it is.

My computer clock is telling me it's Friday. I'm sure it ain't Friday. I hope it ain't Friday, 'cos if it is, I'm an hour and a half late picking Zoe up. It must be thursday. It has to be thursday.

I hope it's thursday.

It's Wednesday, 11:00 pm in US Central Time. (I think that's what Dallas is anyway :blush3: )

Excellent. So it is definitely Thursday. I knew it had to be.

Now how to fix my pc clock in WinMX - any ideas?

No ideas, sorry. I wasted my brain on pointlessness today.

Double click on the time in the lower right corner of you screen to bring up the control panel (picture attached) On your control panel, find the two buttons to the right of the digital clock. Use your mouse to higlight the hour and then either enter the new hour with your keyboard or use the arrow buttons to increase or decrease the hour. You can do the same for minutes and seconds. Also, if you click on the tab (at the top) that says 'Internet Time,' there should be a synchronize button that will get the correct time for you, if your time zone is correct.

Hope that helps.

Thank you very much, Ymir's Blood!

Now I know what day it is, what time it is, and where my towel is. I am whole again. Thank you. :)

The best time application I have ever used is SymmTime (http://www.ntp-systems.com/symmtime.asp). Not only will it keep your system clock synchronized, but you can also tell what time it is in multiple time zones. Since I find myself in 2 or more a week and talk to people all over the country, this is one handy app. Not only is it handy but it's just downright sexy.
