It's probably nothing, but two days ago my father went in for all kinds of tests. During the bone scan I was able to be in the room and see his skeleton on a screen. There was a huge white spot on the bone at the base of his back and then white spots all over his skeleton. He is having a lot of pain in that area. They didn't say anything, but I had a sneaking suspicion that is the cancer showing that has masticized (spelling?) in his bones. It didn't look good to me. I may be wrong though, but it makes sense that that would be the markers.
I just got home and there's an urgent message that they want to see my Dad ASAP. I keep saying it's probably nothing, but I have a sinking feeling this is pretty major as I sensed the urgency in the tone of the message. I called back and just received their voice mail. It is so hard to describe this sinking feeling I have, I wish they hadn't left that message as I may have to wait until tomorrow morning to find out more.
Thanks everyone for the entertainment you give me in these silly threads, they have been such a blessing in keeping me from sinking into depression. The silliness means I don't have to think too hard to throw stuff back at ya, and you have provided many avenues of laughter for me. You have no idea how much that helps. A break from reality takes the bite out of it.
