I suspect I'll be reading about the French Revolution, although I do feel a hankering for a Blackadder marathon coming on. How about y'all?

*assuming it goes down at all, mind you, which isn't fer sure although it is very likely.

It has to go down. It has to! How else will I find my housecleaning motivation! :worry:

I could berate you in a really guilt-inducing, motherly tone, if you think that would help.

SharonDee
02-25-2006, 02:43 PM
Mom? Is that you? I think you should order me to put away the clean laundry. And don't forget to make me put the books back on the shelves.

livius drusus
02-25-2006, 02:49 PM
Young lady, are you going to leave that clean laundry out until it's dirty again? Put it away, for the love of Pete. And don't forget to put the books back on the shelves, while you're at it. I could trip over them and break a hip and then you'd be sorry.

Yes'm!

Work on my manuscript and listen to the two new albums I just purchased.

livius drusus
02-25-2006, 03:14 PM
Manuscript? What is this manuscript you speak of?

TomJoe

Manuscript? What is this manuscript you speak of?

The first paper I'm trying to get published out of my new job. We need two publications a year. It's on Listeria monocytogenes.

livius drusus
02-25-2006, 03:22 PM
Oooh... I thought it was a novel or memoir or something. Still, Listeria monocytogenes sounds good too. Sorta.

Nah. Don't have time for anything like that. I'm not a big fan of technical writing as it is ... I just do it because I have to. I'd rather sit the lab and come up with some exciting new experiments or come up with new application to answer some scientific question.

I'm going to use the time to mediate and find myself :peace3:

livius drusus
02-25-2006, 03:39 PM
Oh, I don't think the server will be down that long.

Legs
02-25-2006, 03:43 PM
Well at the very least, I will learn to spell meditate.

Don't yell at SharonDee! That is mean! :fuming:

SharonDee
02-25-2006, 04:14 PM
Mean, maybe. Necessary? Oh, yes!

If I only had self-control ...

livius drusus

I was just doing what I was told, man.

While it may have been "necessary" she could have commanded you more nicely.

With condolences to SharonDee, it appears that there won't be any downtime.

Yay! No downtimes! No downtime! :yahoo:

livius drusus
02-25-2006, 04:42 PM
You should still put up the laundry though, Sharon, seriously. :sadnod:

I'll be practicing Italian probably. I like to put in some time everyday doing Italian. I'll be getting started on Un Italiano in America, it's supposed to be very humorous.

Send out more job applications and feel like a piece of shit cuz it's been a month now and I haven't heard anything.

If there had been downtime, I would have been busy being adopted by several lesbians. I think Ed now has five mummys.

Seems so, yessir. :bgirl:

Hmm... I just got a little document contains no data error. Probably a coincidence. :shiftier:

I just got a "couldn't find server" page. But it came back on a refresh.

Also, I have spend the day pottering. While sorting out on of our many drawers full of paperwork, I came across £30 of garden vouchers that I'd obviously forgotten about. So, tomorrow I'll go and buy some bedding plants to bring on for spring.

:wriggle:

livius drusus
02-25-2006, 06:07 PM
No fair! I want to find random money while cleaning! :hissyfit: What plants are you going to get?

Leesifer
02-25-2006, 06:14 PM
There, there liv. :pat:

I don't know yet. I was going to go to Homebase which does all things for the house and has a garden section. I definitely want some pansies and some osteospermums:

I hope so. It looks like things are fine now.

I pretended that the downtime happened, then I shutdown my computer and went straight to work. I have such a clean house now! :wriggle:

MonCapitan2002

It has certainly been a bust Saturday. There has been a flurry of posting activity today.

It is not a good statistician that mucks about with his own data.

MonCapitan2002
02-25-2006, 08:35 PM
How am I mucking with my data? I am posting just like the rest of you. I lack the capabilities to muck with my data. The only way for me to do so would be to have admin access to the boards. Since I do not, I cannot muck with the data.

Crumb
02-25-2006, 08:43 PM
:dunno:

MonCapitan2002
02-25-2006, 09:34 PM
Precisely. I don't know I could muck around with the data. I don't have access to the database, so that isn't possible. Besides, liv has access to the ability to get a day by day post count break down. Any data that does not conform to hers would be easily spotted.

Well at the very least, I will learn to spell meditate.Darn it, I had some stuff that needed mediation.

Come to think of it, I even have some socks that could use darning.
