Do you write with pens or pencils?
I'm a pen-person. Pencils are just annoying for me.

I write with both. However, my main use of pencil is in my checkbook register. It makes it easier to correct mistakes. Everything else is mainly pen. I had a manager that refused to use a pencil, claiming using a pencil made one careless because you could easily correct your errors. He was and still is an asshat. Hear that, Larry? You're an asshat.

I'm not an asshat :glare: . You can still correct your errors even if you use pens, you know. Plus, I tend to rarely make errors in writing.

Plus, I tend to rarely make errors in writing. That is a statement that at the very least leans toward asshattery.

Errors not as in 'grammatical/composition errors', but as in 'spelling/other errors'. :glare:

I hardly ever write anymore, but when I do I strongly favor Uniball Micro pens.

Pens, on a piece of paper that is on quite a few pieces of paper. I can't just have one piece of paper to write on, it has to have many under it.

I use both, but prefer a good sharp pencil. I do a fair amount of writing on vertical surfaces (note taking in the stacks, gate counts, stats from machines), pens are a bitch that way.
Nothing sucks like a sucko eraser on a pencil. The kind where you go to erase and it smears, rather than erases. :scream:
And Phil...he's right. :asshat:

I didn't get a pen licence in Grade One so I could use a stinkin' pencil.

Pens, and with the finest point you can get, like the Namiki Vanishing Point fountain pen. :homer:

I do all my maths/physics with a lovely sharp mechanical pencil. Not only does this make it easier to correct my many mistakes, it feels so much more satisfying for some reason.

Pencil, unless I'm doing the New York Times crossword puzzle.

What I learned from this thread:
1. Philosophy's real name is Larry, or at the very least, he responds to the name Larry.
2.
I'm just kidding, there is no 2.

For writing, I like most anything from the uni-ball rollerball series (my employer is cheap so we get the "Onyx" line, but I still like it). I use Pentel 0.5mm mechanical pencils to make notes in the margins of my textbooks. For everything else, I love the Sharpie. :ffinlove:

Sharpies are good for signing the breasts of adoring fans.
or so I hear.

Well, Sharpies are good. If I had some adoring fans, I'd be sure to use Sharpies to sign their breasts or whatever else.
Mostly, I use pen, even on the crosswords or Sudoku puzzles. But, speaking of pencils ...
/me runs off to create a new poll
I use pencils. Drawing sketches of ideas on restaurant napkins with pens just doesn't work.
