One for Sorrow

I know I've not been around much lately the past few months--I apologize for that, and for leaving so many of the e-mails and private messages I've received unanswered. The fact that so many of you cared deeply, though, meant more to me than you'll ever know.
Thank you all for being so supportive of us during those difficult months. It gave us a lot of hope knowing that people who only knew us as screen names online cared so much, and were willing to fight so hard for his life.
As some of you may know, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Great Stride's Walk is coming up. In Chapel Hill, it will be held at the Bell Tower on April 8th. Please, if you are in the area, sign up and walk with me. The team is Allan's Avengers (http://www.cff.org/Great_Strides/dsp_DonationPage.cfm?walkid=4093&idUser=120083)--fighting back against the devastating disease that took him away from all of us.
There is another benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC on March 31st. It's a concert called Songs for 65 Roses (http://www.songsforsixtyfiveroses.com/). They are also releasing a CD, and there is a dedication to Allan on it. The song is called Lion's Song performed by Claire Holley, and there is a short preview of it on the website I linked to above. The song was originally written and recorded by NC artist Jason Herrod, and if you'd like to listen to it, please click here. (http://www.mattjonesblog.com/jason-harrod/) It's a very nice song. Made me cry.
Thanks again for being so caring and supportive. I hope to see some of you at that concert, the Great Strides Walk, or both!
just don't advertise that concert too heavily yet; I still need to buy tickets!
