View Full Version : Life is empty
This started a couple of days ago. On the forum index page (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/index.php?), the "Forum Life" group is empty (or collapsed). I can't see the watering hole or forum adminstration forums unless I click on the forum life heading. Moderately annoying, and definitely weird.

My knee-jerk response is that you must have collapsed it then closed your browser, and the collapsed state was saved as the default state. Maybe? :?

Heh, I saw the thread title and was about to post a total agreement. However my Forum Life section is just fine.

That's funny, I thought it was serious too and was quite relieved to be wrong.

Oh, no. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I just meant I was relieved that Joe hadn't exercised his right to whine about it here. Nobody likes a whiner.

Especially not in the wrong forum. That would be a Sin.
My knee-jerk response is that you must have collapsed it then closed your browser, and the collapsed state was saved as the default state.Well, that was my conclusion too, but I thought there ain't no such facility. Now I've realised that the little http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/images/freethought/buttons/collapse_tcat.gif on the right does precisely this. Problem solved.
(You know what would be good: there is no 'title' popup message for this button. If you hover over http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/images/freethought/buttons/lastpost.gif you get the helpful message 'Go to last post'.)

Why, Joe, do you mean to tell me you've never read this (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=139&postcount=2)? I'm very disappointed in you, young man. Very disappointed. :clueless:
However, since you've given me the perfect opening to use a smilie I thought I'd never get the chance to use, I'll throw you a bone and say that I think your hover text idea is a good one and I bet vm can do it right quick.

Yeah, I've noticed that.
'Course I read it. I mean to tell you I've forgotten anything that long ago.
