Stupid-ass computer

So I got the internet last week (finally!), and within 6 hours, my computer screen (I have a laptop) stops working properly. Goes white--unless I hold it just right. Now, it's mostly gone--I occaissionally have to touch the back of the case, but that's it. That's the reason for my absence here, primarily.

Any ideas on what it could be? The last time my computer was dropped/banged was in January, like the 2nd, on the plane back from Minnesota. No problems, other than a signle line of fucke up pixels (now like 15-20) until then.

I've seen that before, but I don't know what causes it specifically. Sooner or later the screen will have to be replaced, that's for sure. What model laptop is it?

It's an HP Pavillion. And right now, it's working fine again. For no goddamned reason. It's a year and two months old, so basically, I'm waiting until I get my tax refund and done with the upcoming field BULLSHIT (two weeks starting next week, then ten days in Florida with the Rangers acting all Hooah-hooah, then a month in West Point with the cadets, who are even lower than 2nd Lieutenants in terms of intellect and worth, as has been demonstrated by the veterans of the previous detail there). I should have enough bank to purchase (outright!) a nice Dell desktop, I'm looking at like 1 TB of memory, with 1 G of ram or more. But we'll see then.
