Some of you know me from my other adventures on the net...i.e. Christian forums, Internet Infidels, Cross and Flame...
To those who already do...you can run but can't hide..... :D
For those of you who don't I go by Smilin. Why? Long story. I've used the nick for going on 8 years now and am reluctant to go by any other. I live in Middle Tennessee near the cumberland plateau. Sorry, but that's all you get as far as where I live. I'm married with three beautiful children which are the loves of my life. I'm a dedicated father, husband and free thinker without the attachments with any sort of deity, religion, or dogma.
Yayyyy freethought!

Livi...whassssuuuppp???
I've been in constant turmoil since we last conversed at II. :yup: Can't access that site anymore at work, it's a shame really. :glare: Since then, I experienced an anoxic brain injury due to an interactions with medications I was taking and slipped into a coma for 40 days. Have been dealing with the physical and psychological aspects of that for the last year and a half. Last May, I went back to work finally. Now working as an engineer at a local Air Force Base and loving every minute of it. I still suffer some side effects from the anoxic brain injury..i.e. insomnia, still struggling with my fine motor skills, still trying to heal me and my family emotionally from the whole ordeal. But all in all I can't complain really. Life is great! :innocent:

Yep, in High Point, NC. I'm computer programmer in the dental industry. Tn Tech isn't my alma matter, but I did spend a couple of good years there. Not much to do in ole Cook Vegas, but we somehow found ways to entertain ourselves.

odd combination. What does one program that has to do with teeth extractions, fillings, etc?

I hear yah. Specially the site seeing that would occur this time of year as the weather got warmer and the clothing got skimpier! Had to love summertime at Tech especially the cheerleading camps! :chin:
ahhhhh...memories! However the town does have a night life now and liquor by the drink was voted in a couple of years ago. So it has made progress in that regard. I didn't have much of a social life while in college there. One can't be social and expect to graduate in engineering. I was a social recluse fwiw.
Good to see you kev!

Well, you'd think so, but they ain't got no mulekick (kickin' ass...there's plenty of arse-kickings, though), nor do they have a shipload smiley.
Any they won't accept discomonkey, the bigots. :glare: :glare:
Welcome aboard. I don't know how long you've been at II, but I haven't been 'round for a couple of years. I don't remember you from Adam...hey, wait, I do, Adam was pompous...well, I don't remember you.
For your orientation (occidentation, actually), I live in a big shitty an inland valley in the wet portion of the specific northwest. :singrain:

There is really quite a bit that has to do with the entire scope of dental practice management. Ledgers, scheduling, insurance, patient records, treatment planning, digital x-ray imaging (my specialty), fee schedules, billing, notifications, and the list goes on-and-on. We also work in networking practice groups that are scattered about a city.

They actually have liquor by the drink! That would have saved us a lot of gas money back then. Yeah, Spring was great. Laying out and suntanning with the girls in the Dixie/Rye quad. I did socialize quite a bit, that is why I didn't graduate from there. Engineering is a very tough major at TTU, even if you are a serious student. But, it got me into something that is much more well suited for me. You live and learn.

We gotta be more mindful of that.
Oh... Before I forget, I recommend you go on over to the Fool's Best Smiley poll and cast a vote. You can vote for one, all, or any number inbetween.
