Hey, that's almost my "dream car" too! Except I think I prefer the '68 Pony, I really hate red and I wouldn't actually drive such a gas-guzzling environment destroying car. But aesthetically speaking you just can't go wrong with the old Mustangs. :)
By the way, it's amazing how many of them you see on the road in California. I grew up a stone's throw from Motor City and in my life never saw as many as I did during the couple years I was in SoCal. They're all over the place.

Never was a fan of the fastback. But...the Shelby does look pretty damn awesome (thanks, "Gone in 60 Seconds" for yet another one of my car crush's).
Also, I don't like red either. I prefer something like "cranberry". Close to maroon, but...not. :pleased:

Ew, me either. I must have made a mistake, since the image I had in mind is much more like the one you posted than the fastbacks I just found through Google. Alas I'm not really much of a car aficionado.

Me neither. :dunno: But the pic I posted was a coupe, which I think fits my personality better. I'm not a sportscar kind of person and the fastback looks really sporty to me. Do you have a fav. auto?

I want that car badly.
Fastbacks are the shit. I love the look :).
Tanda, my brother had a '64 mustang, ivy green. My dad found it in a barn in Texas. Almost all the parts were original (minus rubber seals, hoses, and tires). It was beautiful till he totalled it. All that's left is the horse from the grill, which is sitting in my computer room. The only problem was the constant maintenance it required to stay operational.

However, widget is a big fan... right now he drives a Dark Green Lexus SC430 (http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/6444/ambushride0xu.jpg) (looks black in the pic, but it's green) and then he has trucks & a Cadillac CTS (http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/7324/lg2006cadillacctsred3qtrview0w.jpg) (red) for the business.
His new love that will arrive anytime is his race car a silver Noble M400 (http://www.auto.cz/base/2005-08/titul_noble_m400_42199cf42319f.jpg) which I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever go in. :scaredbaby:

Yeah. 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T with a 440 Magnum V-8, Borg-Warner 4-speed, Hurst shifter, Carter AFB carburetor, Dana 20 rear axle with 4.30:1 gearing, 0-60 in a flash, 1/4 mile in 13.4-13.6 seconds @ 102-104 mph (pretty close to redline in 4th gear). I paid a whopping $1000 cash plus my 1964 Tempest for that Challenger. It only had 36K miles on it. Eight months later I wrapped it around the largest pine tree in Hardin County, Texas. A car like that today would bring anywhere from $20K to $50K at auction. Oh, the pain, the pain.

That would make an excellent family car but for just me, something smaller would be nice. Anyway, after reading some articles on owning hearses, they're a bitch to maintain and don't handle that well. (not that finding parts for a customized Model T would be cheap either.)

Hmm.. My mother wants all her kids to band together one day and buy her a Bentley. An early 1990s one might be affordable.
Tanda, you realise that's a model?
Personally, I've always had a serious hard-on for the mid 1990s Vantage. Can't seem to find a good pic of it online though, not one that does it justice.

It's not. It's a 1998 Bentley Turbo with 30,000 miles on it. We bought it 18 months ago. Me and my dad share it - he has it during the week and I have it for weekends. It used to belong to the Saudi royal family and was one of several they kept in London.
