Shitty day

Today we said goodbye to our 3 dogs. They are not being put down and it cost us a lot of money to arrange rehousing for them, but I feel so guilty that we couldn't keep them and so sad that they are gone and none of us can stop crying.

I know that they will al go to great homes. I know that we invested lots of time and lots of dollars in ensuring that they would go to loving homes, but right now the house feels so empty.

Man that sucks. I remember when we had a dog literally wander into our house... it had apparently ran off from it's owners while it was being walked. This was at a time when we were thinking of getting a dog, and we took care of this one for about 3 days before we found its owner. It was so sad giving it back :(
