Oh, yeah, I was supposed to be cutting down on posting online :blush: well, um, I did for a while. I might again - probably will. But, see, a goal of that site is to promote respectful friendly conversation/discussion between atheists and Christians, which is something I've hoped to see more of (anywhere) for a while now. It was exciting to find a site being so intentional about it.

Note: if you post anything there please bear in mind that while you may see things that are definitely not respectful friendly conversation between atheists and Christians, that is the goal - in other words please try to further rather than hinder it if you post.

Helen, I'm sorry that your former pastor was such a jerk to you. I've gone through that alot. Basically I have had to immediately stop the talk about salvation when I get confronted. Lucky, though, you have a husband who shares your belief.

I do appreciate what off the maps is doing. I wish that they would come down here to my area, especially my former church (incidentally, it is like I cannot escape that blasted church because my inlaws and my husband still consider it their church). I have to go now, otherwise I would look more at your blogs, but I must say that you are very well articulated and touch on topics that are very important for me. Maybe I'll see if I can join the discussion board there (you mentioned it in your blog) because it might help me to have positive, rather than negative, interaction with Christians. I keep fighting bigoted feelings toward Christianity in general, sometimes, because most of my personal interactions with Christianity has been so negative for the past few years.And I realize it is wrong to have such a negative perception.

You don't have to register to comment on the blog. You just have to provide an e-mail address (which won't be made public).

Did you try to register on the discussion board? If so it sounds like a mistake that you couldn't. Tell me what happened and I'll e-mail the administrator about it. Bear in mind that some people are finding their confirmation e-mails are going into 'spam'/'junk'/'bulk' - whatever that folder is.

Same thing when I tried to register. I'll email the admin if I can. Anyway, off to pick up my daughter. It's take our sons and daughter to work day.

I made a comment, but it took so long to write because I was doing all sorts of stuff in between the occasional sit down, well four other comments were made in between that time. Now my comment does not much flow with the rest of the conversation. Anyway, I hope they ask you to be a guest blogger again because you had some very good topics.
