There. I did it. I voted for one and only one smiley. I've never done this before and to tell the truth, I'm a little freaked out about it.

Why'd you go and do that?

Because to me it is really and truly number one. Usually I have a bunch of co-number ones, but this time it's one number one and a bunch of co-number twos. The solo vote seemed a more honest representation of my opinion.

It seems you are the only one who thinks so. :giggle:

So far you are the only one who voted for it. While I think it is a fine smilie, there are others I like more.

:golfclap: is pretty cool. I also really like :abuse: , I know just how that little guy feels.
I don't really get the angry fruits and vegetables. Are things really that bad in the fridge?

I really really don't like the oversized smilies, so I didn't vote for a single one of them. I hope there's never a poll of strictly large smilies. I wouldn't be able to vote.

I'm glad I voted before reading this thread. Otherwise, my slavish devotion to liv would force me to vote for her one and only one smiley.
I don't get the appeal of golfclap. Sure, it's well animated and expressive, but I guess I'm not crazy about the sentiment.
Maybe I just hate Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez too much.
You need to adblock (or somehow block) the oversized smilies, if you really really don't like them. I don't. They depressed me to start with, and I've reenabled them for a while and frankly, they're still depressing. If I couldn't block them I wouldn't be able to visit the board the way I feel now.

My supposition is that this is the effect of allowing voters to choose multiple smiley candidates. It may not be anyone's first choice, but enough considered it "good enough" to cast their vote for it.
Allowing multiple votes will invariably end up selecting those candidates whom most voters consider "acceptable", rather than "the best". (Well, except when everybody agrees on one smiley being the best and they all vote for it.)
In my opinion, the monthly vote should be limited to one vote per voter (multiple nominations are still acceptable).

My vote for the golf clap was mainly an aesthetic judgment. I might not use it much, but the gesture and expression are perfect for the sentiment. It's an excellently executed smiley.

It is very cute and one of the ones I might actually find some use for.

I haven't had occasion to use :golfclap: yet--unless you count this post--but I have enjoyed others' posts where it made an appearance.
You people are just way too good at selecting the perfect smiley for an occasion. :yup:

I giggle everytime I watch this guy:
:cohnoes:
Nevermind that he's adorable. I love the little blinking eyes. It's like he's perpetually waiting for the horrific event that triggered the "Ohnoes", but it's just not coming.
I find it comedic.
