Farren

Well, I finally got together with Joe on Friday, making him the first HH/FF member I've met in the flesh and it was a rare pleasure.
I must report that Joe is charming, erudite and articulate in person. Its a pity there aren't more FF'ers in SA.

That's cool, Farren. I'd like to meet you both but I doubt I'll be getting to SA soon. :(

No matter. One of these days I'll be visiting a few of you.
Hey, another thread with my name in it.
Farren flatters me. :blush3: I don't know who I charmed, and 'articulate' is relative ... although Farren talked less than does on the phone or here! :giggle: I still don't know if 'erudite' is a compliment. I've been called it before.
It was a great pleasure though. And this makes Farren the first person I have met irl after getting to know on the net in any forum. (Actually, after racking my brains, there may be one exception: I communicated with my wife's half-sister's daughter's adoptive father by email for a while when he worked in Saudi Arabia and I in England, both for IBM then, and have since met him in SA.)
Farren: there are two types of people in the world: those that divide people into two types and those that don't.
Me: there are three types of people in the world: those that can count, and those that can't.
Most of the conversation was more intellectual than this.
