This will need no explanation.

http://www.micom.net/oops/

Unfortunately, does not support hotlinking, so I can't give a preview, but you will be amazed at some, laugh at others, and cringe at the rest.

You can spend a good hour here. Most are aviation pictures, but there are a few of trucks, cars, and so on.

Cool pics, but I didn't really need any help visualizing possible airline disasters. :glare:

That's one of the "I lost my job today" series.

The one with the roof, complete with rear door still attached, of a minivan embedded in the lead edge of the wingtip of what looks to be a military fighter/attack jet is a hoot.

Hoot! Hoot!

That there minivan now has a bodacious sun&moon roof.

They'd make some pretty snifty avatars, with some cropping.

It's a Luftwaffe or Marineflieger Tornado.

LOL! I've always liked this one, although I've seen it with some different text... something about the other plane "sleeping":

Not exactly an oops. This picture has made the rounds. The Wyoming Weather Chain picture originated in my employer's publication; it is located in a plant near Rawlins, Wyoming.

This one (http://www.micom.net/oops/It's%20a%20boy.jpg) and the accompanying set, made it to me when I was in the Air Force.

I also got to see the evidence of a loadmaster's error. Evidently, the load was off and the plane tipped back and the front end smashed into the ceiling supports of the hangar it was in.

Guys... If you want to post the pix, you have to import them into the FF gallery first. That's how I got mine posted up.

Just right click and select "save as" and name it, save it to you desktop (or something you can access), then post it in the "Miscellaneous" gallery in the Museum. From there, you can pick up the image code and post it to any thread.

This one and the accompanying set, made it to me when I was in the Air Force.Yeah, I've seen a lot of those before from distribution at work. It's pretty bone chilling when you realize how just a few minor mistakes can pile up and create a horrible problem. Or how you can do everything correctly but then some fluke occurs.

Here's one I took myself while driving to work:

That wasn't just hanging off the freeway onto the shoulder -- it was hanging off an overpass to a busy street below. The other half of house and it's tow were parked forelornly about 1/4 mile ahead. I felt badly for the folks who were waiting somewhere for their home to show up.

This isn't so much an "ouch" picture, as a "heh" picture.

Proof of scriptural literalists in Wyoming:

Hotlinking is one thing, but copying a picture and putting it on your own site is iffy at best.

The pictures are uncredited and widely circulated. I think it's open access.

There's a guy who does safety briefings here at my place of employment. He's usually got a PowerPoint slide show running beforehand with many of those images (and some other similar ones). So yeah, they've gotten around.
