Nice photo, Josh. My monitor makes it a little dark, though.
Oh, my, yes. I've enjoyed photography for a very long time. I'm working on some stuff, will get back to ya with some pics soon. If I get the time to put together the page I need to do ASAP anyway.
Well, here's some older low-res ones I already have online:

The Oregon coast, I think.
I've got a friend who is an amazing photographer, and is building quite a career at it.

Neat photos, both of you!
I posted some of my vacation photos about six weeks ago in this post (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5264#post5264)

Very nice, but do you live in the fifties?
I like to photograph landscapes. This year has been less active for me as the fall leaves pretty much got trashed by the two hurricanes. Here are some older pictures:

What is obvious to me is that you have the 'eye'. Technique is important and can be learned online or from books. What is absolutely necessary is having the eye.
You have it and I encourage you to continue using that camera to capture your imagination.
BTW I have several photos posted at HH

I won't be able to see those; I don't have access to HH, being a theist.

Ugh. I can take 5 MP pictures, but I can't size them right. Help me out someone. :(

Do you any picture editing software at all? Even MS Photoeditor or something that came with the camera/computer?

Use software (ACDSee is one example) to resize your photos.
I have a 4 MP camera that takes 1.8mb or so photos. In ACDSee I just select resize and for the web I choose 320x240 and this usually results in a <100k photo.
Helen, I realize that as a theist you can't view the photos on HH. Certainly I wasn't meaning to taunt you. Here is one of the photos taken with a film based camera, using a double exposure, no photoshopping

The photos I like to take best are landscapes, but, living in Houston, that rarely comes up. Most of my landscapes are on film... so no digipics.
However, the only only picture I've ever taken that I liked enough to blow up and hang on my wall was this one: (I just now pointed my digital camera at my wall... )

Guess what I did to get the crazy lines all over the guitar....

Wow that's cool, Godless Wonder. It looks like a gigantic wood grain. As it were carved from a sequoia or something.
Your greenpath is gorgeous, Josh. I love textured, crisp b&w landscapes, and the cast iron lamps and pavement bricks make it almost otherworldly. :appl:
I remember that eye from HH, dantonac. How about posting some of your landscapes as well?

While I had the digicam out, I took a shot at the lunar eclipse that just happens to be occurring... it's here (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=17363&postcount=16) in the lunar eclipse thread that's occurring.
The lines on the guitar are a reflection of the vertical blinds in my apartment.

That's a great photo of the moon.

I love the patterns they made.

I knew that! But I scrolled down and read the whole thread instead of saying. :P
Ymir S. Blood, that tern is stunning. How did you get the picture? 1000mm lens?
Josh, greenpath is eyecatching, you have talent. Freemonkey, the columbine is delicious.

the iPod is kinda blurry in this one, but that's mainly because that wasnt the focus of this picture, i was mainly going for the light reflecting from under the creative speaker and CD stack.

That picture was taken with a SONY Cybershot 5.0 Megapixel camera. The picture was cropped but not resized. IIRC, it was a very long range shot which made it easier to catch the bird in flight. Also, many many pictures were taken and the best one got used.
