Collecting Sponsors for a Fun Run

I am doing the Relay for Life in October (http://www.relayforlife.org.au/event_details.asp?ContainerID=rfl_healsville)

I would like any suggestions you may have for collecting as many signatures as possible.

These are what I've learned:

- If you take taxis often, ask the driver.

- If you take public transport, use this opportunity to ask your captive audience.

- Wait outside a major train station and ask people there.

Great news so far. I have about 10 weeks before the fun run, and I've raised $3094. I'll try to raise more, but I think I'll probably be working on my fitness more from now on.

They said that there'll be entertainment on the night, so I plan to give them a CD I burned with some songs from the Chess musical, and I'll be singing along to the Arbiter's song. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2l4Bek1tBdA) :)

Does anyone have any ideas to make the event more fun and encourage more people to come?
