Hey everyone. I am new here, but I know a lot of you. I've held back posting a lot at II and the various other places. I'm always wondering if I let my true feelings be known, will I be considered a radical nutjob? I'm not the best at diplomacy as Lauri will attest to. Personally, I'd rather just put my thoughts and ideas out there rather than trying to censor them for the public good.

Welcome to FF. :tiphat:
FWIW, I definetely enjoy your posts at II, they seem well informed and/or well thought out.
But yeah, this certainly doesn't seem to be a "hold back" type of place, for better or worse.

Ok, I pay a little attention at II: The name "xorbie" = a smart mother fucker in my book. Lauri just told me that you were a young "grasshopper". Anyhow, your props mean a lot to me, thanks.

Welcome to FF, noblesavage. And I'm not just saying that as part of a cunning scheme to extort an article out of you on intellectual property (http://www.iidb.org/vbb/showthread.php?p=1819235#post1819235) either. :giggle: Killer post that was, btw.

Thanks Livius,
I'm still trying to work it out in my head. I'd like to write about licensing and "open source" as it relates to political activism. Hacktivism if you will. Why http://www.openvotingconsortium.org/ projects like this are so important. Any interest in that?
I've got a bunch of half baked ideas in my head. Perhaps I'll start a thread and start bouncing ideas off you guys.

Holy crap. I just heard Bev Harris on the radio and have spent a couple of hours tonight surfing www.blackboxvoting.org. Yes, shit yes, there's interest in that. There's a big, giant huge amount of interest. (You can tell cause it inspired me to upload a new smilie to best illustrate it.)

Sounds good to me. I'll definitely be there.

Oh silly boy. I don't know a damn thing 'bout nothin', I just talk or type until my listeners eyes glaze, see, then think I know what I am on about because there's just too many words to be bullshit. I am pretty good at it , huh?
