I really like the table you made, Crumb. When you were asking what people thought in chat last night I had no idea what you were talking about. Sorry to shun the game but I've never heard of three-card poker and it just doesn't have any appeal to me.

No problem, I just thought it would be good to play something a little different than usual.

In the OP, Crumb says we start with 30 :ff:lorins each. I suppose this is a typo, as we only appear to have 20.
This game seems similar to three card brag, as it's called in the UK, except that there are no community cards in three card brag - just three cards dealt to each player. In brag, however, there is an option for players to not look at their cards - they are then said to be 'playing blind' and this gives them the privilege of only putting half as many chips in the pot as those players who are not blind.

Oh yeah that's a typo sorry. I was sticking with twenty 'cause it seemed to work on the other tables. I will be raising the blinds as players are eliminated though.

I'm handling the blinds on table 1 as per RCC's rules (http://www.skepticalcommunity.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1938)
Blinds
Each level lasts ten hands:
1-2
2-4
3-6
5-10
10-20
15-30 (until finish)

hmm... I guess I will try that too then. :thankee:

Oh, and in three card brag, a prial (that's three of a kind) beats a straight flush. Three threes is the best hand of all, then three aces, three kings and so on...
I know that's not what we're playing here though - please refer to Crumb's OP in the game thread for the order of the hands in three card poker.

In three card poker the probability of getting a three of a kind and a straight flush are very nearly the same, but the straight flush is slightly more improbable.

I'm totally stealing that faded font for the folded hands.

Lees, when the dust settles, it'll be you and I in a battle of epic proportions.
You will lose.

Julie's bluffing. She just tried to scare off Lees, and Lees didn't blink.

Famous last words!
Mind you, I can't believe Crumb dealt me a hand when I'm out of the game. Talk about rubbing salt into the wound. :cryhome:

Oops I think I accidentally sent you Julie's hand. Sorry Julie, it's coming to you now.

Is bey out for now?
Crumb
08-27-2006, 12:38 AM
Bey is out until he gets back on the 'net. His orders were a standing fold until I hear otherwise. He is going to pay all blinds though. I hope he makes it back before he is broke.
