This article lists the top 10 best cities for single people (http://realestate.msn.com/Rentals/Articleforbes.aspx?cp-documentid=694846) based on nightlife, culture, job growth, cost of living alone, coolness, and online dating activity all weighted equally, and the number of single people give double weight.

They are, in order, the top 10 cities of 40 ranked: Denver-Boulder, Boston, Phoenix, San Francisco-Oakland, New York, Raleigh-Durham, Seattle, Austin, Texas, Washington D.C.-Baltimore, and Miami. What, no Tulsa, Milwaukee or Portland?

With the winners come the losers, Greensboro, N.C., ranked dead last for the second consecutive year. Norfolk, Va., didn't fare much better -- it's ranked 39th out of 40 for the second year.

The perfect date would be to go to another city, because there's nothing to do.

No comment from me, as I am not single. I can certainly see the attraction of the Denver-Boulder area, Seattle, and maybe Austin, but the rest hold no appeal for me. What about you singles, if you don't live in one of these places, how is your city for singles?

[H]ow is your city for singles?

The Pick n Save is usually pretty well stocked up, but I often keep a couple of 16-packs (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6527&highlight=Kraft+Singles) in the fridge just in case.

I assume Hot Springs is good for singles, as far as things to do go. It's small compared to those top cities -- so it won't compare -- but for it's size it has an ok amount of stuff to do. Likely -- no, certainly -- because it's a tourist town.
If lots of clubs, larger malls, many more restaurants, concerts etc. etc. etc. are your thing, an hour drive to Little Rock is in order.

There was an article in the local paper yesterday stating that the biggest city in Delaware, Wilmington, is the 6th angriest city in the U.S.

I didn't read the article, though.

I'm not single, but let me tell you Iowa is a hopping singles spot... well that is if you're into guys that scratch themselves while spitting out their chew through their missing front teeth during riding their John Deere through town. :roflmao:

Oddly, everyone I know here is in an LTR. Everyone. Maybe it's because Austin is so good for singles that everybody gets snapped up the instant they cross city limits (har har)?

But there are lots of cute, smart, quality folks here, with admirable politics and who bathe and dress nice and are fun and stuff.
