I started this thread at Christian Forums once, but it was swiftly deleted (it's not godly to promote drunkeness) - so as I see there are a number of current and former CF users here, I have decided I will try again here:
The Christian Forums Drinking Game
The idea of this is to come of with a set of rules to a drinking game based on posts at Christian Forums.
I think for the game, a debate forum should be chosen (General Apologetics, Morality & Philosphy or News & Current Events seem the best choices).
Playing from the main topic listing you first play the "topic listing" rules, then once you have moved through all those rules, you venture into each thread, and play the "thread rules". This can be a single player game, where you just get hammered, or a multiple player game, where each person gets one entry on which to play, then the next and so on (so in "topic listing" the first player gets the first topic listed, and must drink according the the rules it matches, and so on, in "thread rules" the first player plays on the content of the first post, then the next player on the second post, etc.
TOPIC LIST RULES (played on the topic listing page per topic - more than one rule can be triggered per topic)
- Take a drink if the title of the topic contains a spelling mistake.
- Take a drink if the title of the topic contains excessive exclaimation points.
- Take a drink if the topic is about homosexuality in a forum where that's not allowed.
- Take one drink for every 20 replies to the thread (rounded down - 0-19 no drink, 20-39 one drink, 40-59 two drinks etc)
TREAD RULES (played against a single post with a thread - more than one rule can be triggered by a single post)
- Take a drink if someone ignores an entire arguement to pick on a single trivial mistake ("your arguement is invalid, because you said Wednesday, but it was Tuesday")
- Take a drink if someone copy-and-pastes a "fallacy" definition from somewhere or other.
I need help on these.
Make more rules you clever CF users - you know how this works.
