In case my Gir doing Dance, Dance Revolution avatar drove you batshit (or for some other reason inspired you to ignore it) you can look again now. In fact I insist that you do so, since livius went through all the trouble to make me the coolest one I've had yet: Puppet Angel.

It was a huge pain the ass, too. :melo:

Aww. I rather liked the dancing Gir but your new avatar is just utterly fascinating. Not to mention a meanie bad boy too. It looks like it took a lot of work to get just right.

A bow for livius.

I will miss the dancing Gir avatar. :sadcheer: The puppet Angel one is pretty cool. Smile Time was an awesome fucking episode.

You should ban anyone who ignores your avatar. :)

The angel puppet is awesome.
But I too Miss the dancing guy (didn't know his name was Gir) as he danced in sync to some of my trance music.

VM, I think it gives you an air of undeniable authority, "Don't mess with this admin..." kind of thing.

Some people just don't seem to have my online time restraints in mind when they find an av, a lot of the time I am here I have small kids playing right behind my shoulder. Some avs were fun to explain to them before I discovered selective ignoring. ;)

Not just anal, I'd like to preserve my eyes and my brain from the seizure inducing avatars which have shown up on FF in the past(Blue's former avatar comes to mind), thank you very much.

Did you know we also can ignore people's signatures too?

We can generally ignore vacuous bleaters, too, but that's less effective when people quote them repeatedly. :glare:

Some threads collapse down to about one-thirty-second of the page length without the obnoxious signatures. And there's got to be something wrong with anybody that doesn't have verax-acis's avatar on ignore.

Hear, hear. I'd have to check, but that might be the only one I'm ignoring.

Wow. I figured a couple people liked the Gir avatar as much as me, but I expected more people to be annoyed by it. I might bring him back eventually. One day I'll make (or ask livius to make) an animated retrospective of all the avatars I've used since day one. That could be fun.

technology is evil :borg:

D. Scarlatti
08-31-2006, 04:59 PM
The same technology that allows the attachment of gigantic, obnoxious signatures and annoying, animated avatars allows others to ignore them. So as usual your iconoclastic attempts at adopting a rebellious stance are incoherent and ultimately pointless.

Well okay, dammit; curiosity wins the day. I can't stand not knowing what he's bleating about now and I refuse to peek. Looks like I have to take him off ignore. Bastards.

Ah, members being able to choose what content they view restricts the freedom of the content providers, and technology is evil. I never could've guessed. But where's the inevitable "only nerds and geeks could possibly disagree" lament? Are you feeling okay Michael?

The Jesus Lawyer
08-31-2006, 05:07 PM

Okay then, consider it done. It'll be a while, though. If I really want to follow in Whitman's footsteps I'll have to get married first.

D. Scarlatti
08-31-2006, 06:38 PM
You could always follow in the footsteps of Slim Whitman.

Might have to learn to yodel, but at least you could keep your bukkake videos.

I don't remember the music, though. Only that it was considered rilly rilly bad.

It's arguably less socially acceptable to admit owning a Slim Whitman record than a bukkake video.

But the coolest would be a Slim Whitman bukkake video.

Great new avatar, vm!

I liked the dancing whatever it was, but for some reason I always thought it was Ensign Steve and not you posting whenever I saw it. I do hate to see it go, though.

Can you get Ensign Steve to use it now? That would really be the bestest, thx.
