You know I've been around this world wide web and you know what I have found?
Pussies.
Nothing but fucking limp-dick, toss-bag, oh-I-so-much-can't-handle-someone-else-having-a-different-opinion-than-me, queer-arse gay wads.
So how about you guys?
Are you really serious about freedom of fucking speech, or do you just talk a big game?
To find out, I am going to make this fucking intro thread as fucking offensive as I possibly can, so if you fuckwad administrators have a fucking problem with it, I'll know now before I waste my fucking time on your shit-arse forum.
I not only fucking hate everyone on this piece of shit forum, but I want them to fucking die - in agonising pain. Especially the absolute fuckheads that run it.
I shoot dolphins and strangle puppies in my spare time and if you don't like it you can eat shit.
Okay, now I'll answer your limp-wristed little questions ...
1. How'd you find the Freethought Forum?
What?! Is your Google link painted on?! What the fuck do you think?! Moron ...
2. Are you a member of any other online forums? Which?
What is this an interrogation? [Keanu Reeves mode] How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call? [/Keanu Reeves mode]
3. How do you feel about smilies (emoticons)?
They're okay generally, but yours are fucking gay. Where's the "I want to rip your lungs out" emoticon?
4. How do you feel about 3000+ smilies?
Well you know how I feel about 1500 smiles? Double that.
What a dickhead question ...
5. Is flaming:
A. Hilarious
B. Beneath you
C. Irritating as fuck
Hilarious if I'm doing it, but everyone else sux at it which makes it irritating as fuck. You're lucky I arrived in time to elevate the quality of your shithouse board before everyone died of fucking boredom.
6. Is vulgar language:
A. Hilarious
B. Beneath you
C. Irritating as fuck
Fuck you and your stupid fucked up questions you gay little motherfucker.
7. Why did the chicken cross the road?
Because I just bought a 'to go' order at KFC and I had to get to the bus stop.
... Oh, by the way ... fuck you.
8. Who pays for your food?
The Ku Klux Klan pension fund.
9. What's one thing you've always wanted to do but never have?
1. Be personally responsible for the extinction of all dolphins.
2. Have sex with your mother again.
10. What is your single favourite place in the world?
Anywhere but standing around answering stupid fucking questions posed by dickwads with no imagination.
11. What's the significance of your username?
Best superhero in the world - could kill that faggot Batman any day no matter how much preparation time he had.
12. What about your avatar?
That's a picture of the guy who is gonna come to your house and rip your fucking throat out if you piss me off.
Thankyou for your attention. Have a nice day.

What the hell? You call that offensive?
"I shoot dolphins and strangle puppies in my spare time and if you don't like it you can eat shit."
Could easily be changed to,
I perform mung on dolphins while I poke puppies eyes out and suck the juices from their tasty eye sockets while they cry, then I cut them open and while they are still alive I throw them on rich women in fur coats.
and that is mild.

Ha! I never knew that. I can definitely believe it though.
Diana is a hero of mine, her site got me into critical thinking, though I don't agree with here about everything.
But that's pretty funny, anyone else got any dirt on Diana?
Maybe that was back in the golden age hayday everyone keeps referring to when iidb supposedly wasn't so restrictive - but it sounds like, "good old days" nonsense to me.
I changed more than they did.

Welcome, IRON MAN.
I take it you've now been banned from HH, too?
Not precisely. I left because there were apparently some unwritten rules there that I was violating.
http://www.heathen-hangout.com/forum1/showthread.php?t=5834&page=2 (http://www.heathen-hangout.com/forum1/showthread.php?t=5834&page=2)
The head cheese, (Gurdur - a seemingly nice guy), said that he was going to ban me for reheating and serving back the shit I was getting from some other guy there, so I figured I was just incompatible with that board.
No hard feelings on my part. But I have been tipped off that there has been some trash said about me there since.
Whatever.
The way I figure it:
IIDB - No shit-slinging either way.
HH - One way shit-slinging, (depending on who you are and whether you and your opinions fit in).
FF - Two way shit-slinging.
IIDB used to suit me, now FF does, simple as that.
I got nothing against IIDB or HH - really. I just think Starshark at IIDB is an autocratic dickwad and Master Taran's at HH comments were deserving of return fire, which was not allowed by what seems to clearly be an unwritten double-standard. I stand by those comments, but I bear none of these people any ill-will.
... Except Starshark of course, who - as I've already said, is a dickwad.
if it's one thing I can't stand, it's dishonest neurotics.
You are!

Yes, as I said, you are entitled to run your board anyway you wish - I just have to know the score is all.
No hard feelings, I stand by what I said. I like you, and I liked a lot of other people at HH for the brief time I was there. It just didn't suit me.
I tried to explain my reasons openly and honestly. No hard feelings - really.
I certainly don't see any reason to rag on HH or you specifically.
I can no longer post there for the reasons I gave - I am under the restrictions of that board and therefore can't fully speak my mind as I would have it spoken.
You don't need to try to work out my "real reasons", it really is that simple.

I had no real idea about all that stuff until now. I didn't want to have multiple accounts all over the web, so I had never been here before even though people had talked about other boards at iidb.
All I knew was that it was time for me to move on from iidb, and I'm glad I can house my internet persona somewhere more appropriate - especially where it has some sort of continuity. Worked out great really.

Speaking of IRON MAN and Mods/Admins, this is a pretty funny post.
http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/6108/zth8theonefr9.jpg
Starshark and IIDB vs. IRON MAN and the rest of the fucking internet ...
IRON MAN is an invincible armour-clad superhero with a scathing wit and fuck you attitude, who can say whatever he likes on the rest of the internet, and there's not a goddamned thing anyone at IIDB can do about it, (unless they also have the ability to mod the whole internet and we just haven't heard about it). He can also set up a fake account at IIDB sometime in the future, that cannot be traced back to him, and there's nothing they can do about that either, (shit he might have even done it already for all they know).
IIDB is a bureaucratic organisation who have to suffer the drag-down effect of having fuckwit mods like Starshark on their team, making them look like arseholes and alienating intelligent people.
Somehow this comment (http://www.iidb.org/vbb/showthread.php?p=3701284#post3701284) was appropriate, because this is probably how Starshark sees himself, as a god in his own little corner of the universe.
Thanos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanos) is described as "The Mad Titan", who's ambitions and self-image far outweigh his abilities. He has been defeated by The Avengers on numerous occasions, all his victories have been temporary and he always ends up being beaten due to his own arrogance and stupidity.
Quotations from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanos#Quotations
"I now hold omnipotence. What should I do with such almighty power? The answer to that is actually quite simple: Anything I want. Anything. I am incapable of error. Any result that displeases me I can simply reverse. There is nothing I need to worry on, for I am Thanos. And Thanos is supreme. Supreme."
Perhaps characteristic of his attitude when he became a mod at IIDB.
"You address omnipotence. Tread carefully."
Yep - that's about the attitude I got from that wanker.
"Truth is a subjective concept."
So are IIDB demerit points.
"Who would have thought that becoming God would be such a hollow victory?"
What because people prefer to get banned rather than put up with your bullshit? Guess that doesn't make you feel as big as if they stayed and let you push them around huh?
"My name is Thanos, and my name means Death"
Yeah I bet you put another notch in your pocket protector every time you get someone banned - whoop-de-do dipshit.
Coincidentally, IRON MAN, (and all the other heroes who died in the hopeless battle for the infinity gauntlet), got restored to life when Thanos lost his power due to his own stupidity, (again). Terraxia on the other hand is still fucking dead because Thanos did not have the foresight to give her the ability to breathe in the vacuum of space where they were transported after he fucked up.
So all I can say to Starshark is: Look at the scoreboard fuckhead.
Poll question added.

Mason, you could just change the email address on your Mace Sin account to a fake address, type in some nonsense password, and the account suspends itself. As far as I know, there is no personal information in your profile that you can't delete or modify on your own.
We wouldn't delete the account since it has posts. We could, I believe, merge Mace Sin into Mason, so all your posts would be on one account and your current profile info would override the old.

Maybe that was back in the golden age hayday everyone keeps referring to when iidb supposedly wasn't so restrictive - but it sounds like, "good old days" nonsense to me. Oh, it's changed. There used to be fucking public discussion on bans -- anyone remember Cat Jesus? They banned him and made no bones about it, hell, they even told him to his face in a complaint thread. Some people didn't like his ban, but it was hardly secret, and people were allowed to talk about not liking it.
Then for some reason they decided to do everything secretly. I had to threaten to go around and count before they'd agree to admit when they were banning people.
Then they forbid all discussion on banned people. Not directly, as such -- they divert it all to Complaints, and of course, people can't post in each other's complaint threads. They might help each other out. Can't have that.
And now, they're simply permanently suspending people to get around that regrettable agreement.
And when people talk about bannings and such here, inevitably an II mod or two shows up and spouts garbage about us, something they'd of course never be allowed to do on their own forum. I fully expect to see one in this thread sooner or later.
You use that word too often, but for once you've got them pegged right. Pussies.

Well I'm something of a political philosopher so allow me to add my two cents ...
It is my contention that all principles must yield to reality at some point, and one should not confuse a principle with an ideal in this way.
This point comes when the very existence of the framework in which that principle exists is under threat, or another, (especially more significant), principle is under threat.*
Examples:
:) Your "free" country might have a policy against the military draft, but suspend it in an attempt to avoid impending domination by a dictatorship.
:) You may believe that violence never solves anything, so what is your solution to a guy walking through a school remorselessly shooting children?
:) You may believe in freedom of speech, so is it okay to yell, "Fire!" in a crowded theatre?
Actually it's not so much a point, as it is a grey area. But in the case of freedom of speech at least, it is a fairly narrow and well-defined grey area.
Now there are of course whys and wherefores as to how one might rank ones principles, but without getting into that you certainly can't expect a practical system to hold to a perfect ideal. This doesn't mean it is not holding to a principle.
Therefore, the powers that be here made a judgement within that grey area where such judgements belong. They did it publicly, with full transparency, but most important of all, they took full responsibility for their decision.
This latter point is something I can at least respect in relation to Gurdur's judgements about me on HH. But I must disagree with his subjective assessment of the scope and location of the grey area in which his subjective judgements should apply.
In relation to freedom of speech I contend that it can be objectively shown beyond reasonable doubt exactly where that area is black and where it is white, (and thus where subjective judgements are wholly inappropriate).
It is these objective black and white areas that have been specifically defined and designed to protect individuals from the tyranny of the majority in a democracy-based society.
We may never arrive at a single answer for the issues that exist in these grey areas. That is why they are 'grey' areas in the first place. The perfectly reasonable arguments that can be put forward in support and opposition to each point of view inside these areas may conflict, be logically inconclusive, and/or depend on the unique circumstances of the situation.
This inconvenient fact does not invalidate the very solid support for the conclusions we are sure about, (beyond reasonable doubt) - or to flog the metaphor to death - the black and white areas.
Therefore in my view, the FF Admin is, (objectively speaking), well within their rights, (and indeed principles), to act the way they did, and I would fully expect that there would be wide subjective disagreement about their decision either way.
And while we are on the subject I'd just like to point out that it has come to my attention that there is some whacky strawman idea going around HH that I was trying to demand some kind of infinite freedom of speech implying that would even include me saying things prohibited by law and other such things. I think I made myself perfectly clear that this is not the case, and I reiterate that point here for anyone who may have missed it.
*The Trekkies will understand this more concisely stated as: Sometimes for the Federation to exist, you just have to go Section 31 on someone's ugly alien arse.

 Don't make me do another Halle Berry speech parody here ...
But, amazing what one can learn about other people when one is not busy trying to stop them from expressing themselves or trying to make them fit into their own subjective little box huh?
I don't rant and cuss all the time - I just want to be able to when I want to put the right emphasis on what I am saying.
Makes me think ...
My own father is trapped in a cycle of ignorance that goes thusly:
He doesn't want to appear stupid. Therefore he never asks any questions. Therefore he never learns anything. Therefore he looks stupid.*
But perhaps there is another dimension of ignorance out there that is in some way similar:
I wont listen to what you are saying until you say it in the way that I want to hear it. Therefore I never hear the opinions of those who are different to me. Therefore I never see anything from any other point of view. Therefore I stay wrapped up in my own little world.
And yeah the death threat thing, fuck that for a joke. No debate on that one.
*Don't get me wrong, I love my father. He's a great guy. But this attitude is an unfortunate and very noticeable, character flaw of his.

Yes. That's definitely something I've seen a lot. "You said fuck. Fuck demeans us all. I will not respond to your balls-on accurate rebuttal because there's a fuck in it." It's a dodge, and one I fear has been nourished by the "insults are teh deveell" ethos of heavy moderation.

Now the time is here
For Iron Man to spread fear
Vengeance from the grave
Kills the people he once saved
Nobody wants him
They just turn their heads
Nobody helps him
Now he has his revenge
Heavy boots of lead
Fills his victims full of dread
Running as fast as they can
Iron Man lives again!

The Kree?! They wouldn't have a chance against Wolverine! Wolverine would just go into such a huge berserker rage that he would chop their entire planet into an asteroid field before they had a chance to blink. Adamantium is stronger than anything man - ANYTHING!!!
Yeah whatever, that still doesn't explain where he gets the five million tonnes per square inch of force required to drive it through solid granite like butter.

Because Wolverine is a man's man.. err.. mutant. He doesn't have to fly or shoot lazers or any of that crap. Hell, he only needs the claws to save time when he's beating your ass, it would just take to long otherwise. He's got shit to do and can't be spending all day on just you. He's burly and surly and tough as shit. Actually that's the whole point with Wolverine. He's not really "super"; when some huge bad guy in a metal suit knocks him through a brick wall, he feels it. His only power is that he is too tough to die, his body doesn't stop so neither does he. He's tenacious.
Maybe he doesn't really have the strength to drive his claws through granite. But imagine if your muscles were that resilient. Just imagine how strong you could be if your muscles were never really damaged no matter how hard you pushed yourself.

I started out as a Marvel Zombie. Thought DC was too old, too square. But, at some point, after the umpteenth X-Men crossover storyline, I quit Marvel.
But, the comic book bug wouldn't leave me alone and I found myself reading DC. Vertigo had been taking off, Batman got dark and gritty, Superman died...they were heady times.
Finally, I met the woman who would eventually become my wife. Kissed my dispoable income goodbye. Stored my comics in the basement. And I haven't purchased a regular monthly title in over ten years.
At this point, I have fond memories of both universes. I like them both the same, especially in the recent JLA/Avengers miniseries. I've discovered that nostalgic memories of comic books are much better than the real-time experience of collecting comic books.

Yeah right... I was part of a thread that wasn't even talking about his ban it just got mentioned as a related thing and it got closed. Which I find ironic because atm there biggest pet topic on PD is how Bush is supposedly trying to turn the US into a fascist state. Pot calling the kettle black if you asked me.
As far as the comics arguments go...
Wolverine while somewhat of a bad ass would have a bit of trouble getting his hands on IRON MAN. Hard to hit someone flying over head. Now if he can get him by surprise on the ground IRON MAN is toast. However IRON MAN can never hope to actually kill Wolverine. I mean people that grow back after being burned down to just a skeleton aren't exactly easy to kill.
Which is the real problem with Wolverine. He's really not that tough. He's mostly just one big bad attitude with claws. Permanently killing him? GL with that. I wouldn't want him for an enemy cause all he's gotta do is get lucky once and your toast. You have to like toss him into the sun or something to get rid of him.
The fight I'd like to see is Magneto vs IRON MAN lol. Short and simple. IRON MAN loses badly.

Yo Dark Man, good to see you again.
Yeah, it's quite ironic that people accuse me of being obsessed with IIDB, or upset about them, when it seems to me like it's the other way around.
From what I hear, they haven't shut up about me since I left, lock threads where anyone so much as mentions my name, and take some kind of perverse interest in my activities over here. All while flatly denying that I have any significance to them.
I have repeatedly spoken about IIDB, and made sure to mention some of the more positive attributes about it. One of the reasons I talk about them is simply the fact that I spent a year of my life there. You'll notice I talk about the Australian Army sometimes to, I have opinions about their policies good and bad - it is just part of my life history - but I am hardly "obsessed" with the Army.
I was happy at IIDB until I became a Strong Atheist and Libertarian, likewise I was perfectly happy living with my parents until I was 15 years old. I can't live with my parents anymore, but that doesn't mean I bear any obsessive malice toward them.
I'm sure not going to go around trying not to talk about any subject I feel like talking about on a Freethought Forum, but I'm sure that's a concept some people over there don't fully understand.
As for the thread locking, it reminds me of the Australian Aboriginal cultural taboo to speak of the dead. I saw the same sort of nonsense when Moosie got banned, and it gives you a bit of a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach that's for sure.
This is a good time for me to once again mention Placebo Messiah's failed prediction that Moose would be back. Obviously nobody can live without IIDB. I am quite happy here, and all this free expression has really got my artistic fuel injectors unclogged. I really feel like a human being again.
And Wolverine doesn't stand a chance. It takes him time to heal, and I'm sure being disembowelled would put a crimp in his day.
Wolverine might have trouble taking him by surprise with all that metal in his body and IRON MAN's on-board sensors and proximity warnings.
IRON MAN actually did fight Magneto in a What If? comic entitled "What if IRON MAN Sold Out?", and kicked his arse so easily that Thor had to quickly talk him out of just killing him.
Of course he was using the towering, magnetically resistant "Overload" armour specific to that alternate reality. But it is interesting that he employed a concept whereby he was cyphering and storing magnetic energy from Magneto.
So it's not as simple as magnets attract iron, therefore Magneto wins. IRON MAN is an expert on magnetic weapons, and his repulsors are based on the principle of reverse magnetism, a concept he invented and employed on the fly in his very first appearance in Tales of Suspense.
How do you like this thread? I wanted to be sure to set and impeccably high standard for myself when I arrived, so nobody would be under any illusions later on.

LOL you have no idea. Not that I would actually trouble myself spending the time to do this, but if I wanted to I could shut down IIDB on a whim. If people knew how utterly unsafe they were on the Internet and how easy it is to shut them down they would be far less antagonistic. Tin gods is an understatement.
In case your wondering what I mean... I spent almost 6 yrs on EFnet IRC as a channel warrior. Which in case you don't know what that is back in the day it was the Tombstone of the inet. Ever bad-ass hacker and his brother would come out there and kill each other till there fingers bleed. I can honestly say I killed an entire EU country for 3 days. Put at least two ISP's out of business, and got my ass DOSed so many times I can't even feel it any more. In the end it was my business that got put out of business, but I was pretty much doomed from day one. I owned ShellServer.net providing shell accounts for people to run bots on.
What always amazes me is how the moderators actually think they have power. Like they really are some sort of god. There is always someone bigger. The admin for starters. Then the ISP provider. Then the owner of the ISP. Then the bandwidth provider. Moderators (Starshark qualifies) are one step above that chewing gum on your shoe...:) Enough of that... and yes if you have an inet stalker or some random crazy problem just give me a yell. No guarantees but I can at least give you strait answers.
Unlike IRON I actually am slowly learning to hate IIDB. Not that I want to bash them but they remind me of crazy organizations like the KKK. All they do is spread hate.... or propaganda... I'm not sure which is correct. That in itself wouldn't be so bad if there was people like me and Rathpig and IRON to give the other side of the story. Yep you guessed it I got warned the other day that I would be banned blah blah blah. So I'm probably next. Thus I'm here.

Well technically they are in their little corner of the internet, they just overestimate how much people care about living in it.
It's like having an overly demanding girlfriend. The chances of you wanting to stay with her go down in direct proportion to how much of a demanding bitch she is.
In the end, it wouldn't matter if she looked like a supermodel and has sex like a porn star, there's plenty of other women in the world, and you're not under any ongoing obligation to put up with her crap.
You entered into the relationship by mutual agreement, and any one of you has the right to end it. If she's a bitch she only has herself to blame. The fact that you knew that before you started dating her doesn't change anything either.
"It's been a real blast sugar. Bye."
IIDB can spend the next month cutting my face out of all our holiday photos and listening to Gloria Gaynor if it makes them feel better, but I really couldn't give a shit, I am much happier spending my time with people who let me have a personality.

IRON MAN while you are completely correct I think you missed part of my point. A person like me who has the ability to ether hack or DOS a board like IIDB has far more power than even the admins or even the owners or ISP's. However that power is really only the ability to destroy so it has its limits.
I fully admit that ATM I'm rusty. I don't even have a DOS box setup etc. It would take me weeks or months to prep for this sort of thing now. Back in 1997 or so. I could have spent all of 12 hours doing prep work and utterly destroyed IIDB and probably its ISP to. All completely anon. No way to catch me. No defense. No recourse. This thread has been an interesting read. I never realized that so many people were unhappy with the management at IIDB. I don't have any major issues with it - I donated ten bucks to keep the board going. I do think though that there are many moderators at IIDB who have no business in a position of power, and at least one administrator who I can say the same of. I've had my differences with others, but there's a line between those I simply don't like and and those who are incompetent. Sometimes the two overlap.
I'll also add that, after reading through a lot of the threads in the complaints forums, I found it to be about as productive as a suggestion box at Abu Ghraib. The only purpose it serves is to give the mods and admins a platform to make excuses for one another. The staff there doesn't take any perceived challenges to their authority seriously at all.
I view forum moderation in the same way I view government: less is better. I think people should be given forums that are free of spam and porn (or at least spam :D), and, beyond that, should just be allowed to say what they want to. Too often at IIDB have I had to church up my posts and give people my PG responses when what they needed was an R-rated ass whooping.
This forum seems pretty relaxed in that respect - it seems like flaming is tolerated here. Flaming with a purpose, too, not the "I can spend more time calling you a jerk" tournament bullshit you find on some sites. I like it here.

Incidentally, this so-called "behind the back poison" to which Gurdur refers has to do with a relatively innocuous remark made by me at the forum that HH was previously, literally years ago. Also, literally years ago, it was apologized for both publicly and privately by me, to the person whom it had invoked, and in fact Gurdur had his pathetic fucking ass kicked all over the landscape here pursuant to his defamatory characterizations related to same innocuous remark.
But he just can't give it up. That's how much of a cunt he is. As for actual "behind the back poison," I've seen threads at the new, improved, Gurdur-maintained HH devoted, by thread title, to specific members here, devoted to trashing them where they can't defend themselves.
So any observer that entertains even the remotest notion that Gurdur is some sort of fucking innocent choirboy in any sense of any of his activities here or elsewhere is laboring under precisely the same delusion that Gurdur's own particularly noxious brand of psychosis personifies.

This is true.

This, as I explained above, is impossible.

If you don't give a shit, why do you keep talking about it?
Obviously the same reason you keep responding to my posts. You are secretly in love with me even though you publicly deny it.
So I guess both our secrets have been discovered. :)
You do love me! You really really do! :yup:

And miss all the entertainment?
I feel the same way, actually. It's perverse of me, but I actually do get a laugh out of how you loser barflies are so obsessed with me; really, little ol' me gets more attention from you than George Bush, which is just another indicator of how screwed up your priorities and your sad little lives are.
As for the cesspool, the fact that you even want to turn the Intro threads into totally meaningless and ineffectual bitchfests, where you repetitively rehearse your stupid obsessions and whine endlessly and scatologically, is another good indicator of just how determined you are to live in shit.
Never mind, continue; like I said, a lot of us get a laugh out of you, then we drag ourselves away from the pervese fun and get on doing actually worthwhile and effectual things. Carry on!
fuck off cunt. you arent amusing you argue for shit.
and youre a bitch, that is all.

Well I'm as sick of his petty personal vendettas, outright lies about us and endless sanctimony as anyone, but I don't see why we can't leave the trash at HH where it belongs.
ETA: Oh, I meant in the future. But that works too, thanks. :)

Well...He does keep inserting his trash from HH in here at infrequent intervals.
And, I can't leave anything at HH....I'm not welcome there.

I just meant that since we obviously can't respond to the paranoid conspiracy theories and nasty personal attacks the HH members post at their own site, we can at least leave them there.

I haven't responded to him, nor am I likely to.
I have little understanding of what is festering in what passes for his mind, nor do I have an interest in finding out. I'm just amused that when his name is mentioned, he feels compelled to come over here and crap on the carpet, as it were. It's pathetic and ironic at the same time.
Just a passing observation, is all.
