Missed Opportunities, we've all had them. Minutes, hours, days or longer later you think to yourself, "Fuck, I should have done *that*.".
The last time I bought something at the grocery store and they asked, "Paper or plastic?", should've gone with paper.

I'll give you a more recent one from my life - today my GF finally asked that cliché question of me - where I see myself in five years - and I didn't say a cardboard box. :darn:

Regret any of your life decisions?

I regret passing up an excellent opportunity for some travel to central Russia. I also bungled an internship in DC when I was like 18. But hey, I'm still young, and don't spend a lot of time worrying about it.

ETA: Oh yeah, I also missed the opportunity to make a hilarious comment a while ago, and I'm still regretting it. It was the gf's birthday in Paris and I kissed her on this bridge over the Seine. A group of American tourists passed by and one of them yelled "Ask her to marry you!" (Um, no, thanks.) I should have yelled back "But she's only 14!" But I didn't. :sadcheer: God damn it.

Sounds interesting, why did you? Russia's not going anywhere though, so you'll get your chance again if you want it.

It's pretty complicated, and I had a lot of options at the time. Really, anything I chose to do with my life at the time would have made me regret not doing the other, so it's just as well I guess.

I distinctly regret letting my parents talk me out of taking an internship at the Humana Festival in Louisville when I was 20.

I seriously regret that I'm only now learning to keep my checking account balanced.

I regret letting my mother talk me into going to university instead of secretarial school.

I regret not becoming a cropduster pilot and changing my name to Ace Van Crief.

I regret killing this thread, a fate so many others have suffered.

You're not dead yet and have no dignity to hang on to, so what's stopping you?

I wish I would have partied more in college. I was SO into my studies, I should have cut loose a little more.

This time of year, I always regret not learning how my Gram canned strawberries, apples, etc. All I was ever concerned with was sneaking around behind the woodstove and stealing away with a bowlful of warm, sliced peaches, or blueberries, or whatever. It was only years later, I realized Gram would leave that bowl there specifically for me.

I missed opening a jar, spooning off the wax, and having a spoonful. One of my fondest childhood memories.

See that's how it usually goes but not for me!

Well and actually my junior year of college my DH was away at training for the Army, and then the last half of my junior year and my senior year he was in Iraq. I threw myself into my studies to cope - I guess it worked out in the end.

Lots of regrets but no time to waste on them.
