I want to run a version of Set (http://www.setgame.com/set/index.html) here at :ff:. It will be for :ff:lorins and it will be by rules devised by myself, which I will explain in the game thread. If you don't know what Set is you should visit the site and get acquainted. The important part is being able to find a set. (http://www.setgame.com/set/index.html) You could also play their daily puzzle (http://www.setgame.com/set/puzzle_frame.htm) to sharpen up your skills.

I won't ask liv to host the set cards as smilies. I have them on my my server and you can use them with tags. Like this:

If you are interested, please sign up in this thread. I think we should have at least 6 people:

Cool. Now that I am thinking about it I think we should talk a bit about the rules. Because it is highly likely that my idea sucks. I want it to be turn based, and I want people to have a hand with at least a few cards in it.

So I am thinking that players should start with 3 cards in their hand, and there should be a certain number down on the table. On their turn if a player has a Set they declare it and win the pot. If not, they buy a random card from the dealer and play moves on, after every player has got a turn more cards are dealt into the center and another round commences. A round ends when a set is declared. I don't know what to do if I run out of cards... :chin:

What do you think, vm? Or anyone else...

Oh no you don't, I refuse to be dragged into planning the game. I'm just a playa.

I love set, and my friend will not play it with me any more. I dont think that it works well as a forum game because part of the fun is the quick thinking involved. I dont know how to translate it into a turn based game.
