Bits and PCs - a Computers and Tech Miscellany
We don't seem to have a miscellany thread related to tech although we have miscellaneous other miscellany threads apart from the miscellany thread.
So here it is. |
Re: Bits and PCs - a Computers and Tech Miscellany
The miscellaneous finding I wanted to post is this:
The http protocol (you know, the one that's the backbone of the web, famous for 404 errors :404: ) has a separate error code for Unavailable For Legal Reasons. The protocol equivalent of "this video is not available in your country". The error code is 451. :abook: :fuel: HTTP 451 - Wikipedia |

Re: Bits and PCs - a Computers and Tech Miscellany
I finally bought a PC this year. The last one I bought was in 2000. On that one, at least I had a system software disk to load if my software ate itself.
Now, don't have a clue what to do when my software gets stuffed. |
