tapatalk?

Have you looked at tapatalk? It makes smartphone/iPad/etc access much easier than browser access, even with the mobile interface.

We have not, but it looks sweet to me. :thankee:

Re: tapatalk?

the phone app costs $2.99. the server side is free.

we have about 15 people using the app at TR. It's pretty sweet.

Please use the feature which removes the 'I Am Posting from My Tapatalk Phone' incorporated into every post posted.

ravenscape 01-16-2011 07:34 PM

Re: tapatalk?

that feature is controlled by the phone app, not the server app. I have it turned off on my phone.

You know, I've almost asked about this a couple of times, but I figured it would probably necessitate a flurry of cookie clearing.

Re: tapatalk?

It hasn't caused any cookie problems for me on the other sites that I access via tapatalk. It's just another device storing some session cookies.

Is FF configured to store cookies in the database? From my browser behavior it seems to be. That's how TR is configured, and I have no problems with cookies when switching from device to device.

Re: tapatalk?

1: This forum has unique issues vis-a-vis cookies.

2: It is a fix told by an admin, full of sound advice, signifying nothing.

Re: tapatalk?

Sorry, raven, inside joke. Liv's first suggestion to address any technical forum issue is clearing cookies, so the meme is that clearing cookies is the universal fix for everything. I was just saying that I was afraid it would require a lot of configuration work on hers and vm's part or, in other words, they'd be clearing a lot of cookies.

Re: tapatalk?

Just implement tapatalk support already, guys

Ah. Yeah, I've wondered how tapatalk would work with FF's tweaks. TR is fairly vanilla vbulletin by comparison, and tapatalk works exactly as advertised. Still, it's a simple install, and also simple to remove.

Re: tapatalk?

It is not simple here. It requires getting vm's lazy ass off of his pile of money.

SO ARE WE GETTING IT OR NOT?!

You know it doesn't work that way, Crumba Crumbastilia des Crumborte y Crumbissima.

Who knows how to control vm? Only liv, that's who. We have to somehow attract liv's attention to this thread and get her to :control: Mr memories.

This lack of tapatalk implementation is completely unacceptable.

Okay, I mashed some buttons for a while and now some internets robot tells me if you search for FF on the Tapatalk network, you will find it. I didn't make it fully public because that would be like linking to us and nobody links to us.

Re: tapatalk?

Can anyone confirm that it's working properly for them?

SharonDee 01-29-2011 02:46 PM

Re: tapatalk?

I'd try it but ... they want $2.95 for the app! I thought it would be free and stuff.

SharonDee 01-29-2011 03:31 PM

Re: tapatalk?

I retract my earlier protestation. I have installed the app and have found :ff: upon it. I'll report back later.
