An idiot teabagger and deadbeat dad named Joe Walsh is running for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives. District lines were redrawn as the result of the census, and Democratic establishment apparently thinks that they have a decent shot of unseating Walsh come November. His poll showings are downright
abysmal.
His Democratic opponent is
Tammy Duckworth. Walsh
says he's the "real challenger" in many ways. After all, Duckworth is the one who's been "working in Washington. She’s a bureaucrat. I’m a fighter."
I guess being a Member of Congress, thus working in Washington, doesn't qualify as "working in Washington" within the bounds of Joe Walsh's itsy bitsy brain. But hey, never mind that shit.
As for the "fighter" part, it's worth noting that Duckworth was an Illinois Army National Guard helicopter pilot who got deployed to Iraq in 2004. She lost both legs in a crash that occurred as a result of a rocket propelled grenade hitting her helicopter. She became a veterans' rights advocate and in 2009 was appointed Assistant Secretary for Veterans Affairs, which qualifies her as a useless "bureaucrat" in Walsh's eyes. Of course, Duckworth has declined medical retirement from the military and continues to serve in the Guard. But hey, never mind that shit either.
Joe Walsh is the
real fighter, though, on account of his tireless efforts to
avoid child support liability.
