Science has been investigating this question for hundreds of years, and the initial investigators were trying to prove that efferent vision was correct, but they failed and came to the conclusion that afferent vision is the correct model. Lessans was wrong, vision is afferent and this is born out by the evidence, which Lessans was incapable of understanding.
